Read recently (rllmuk) that you can wave to animals by clicking on them. I cannot stress how such a tiny thing adds so much to the game!
On a similar note, my only grip with the game and its not just AC but most games nowadays really, the instructions are truly appalling! The included 'manual' manages to tell you the stuff that is most obvious - how to control your character - and completely misses out all the less obvious stuff - waving being a very minor one, navigating your way around some of the menus (making up your own music anyone?) being a HUGE oversight!
This pisses me off.
Having said that let me stress that I haven't played a more delightful game since Lucasarts halcyon adventure days!

Yeah, Mr.Resetti can get quite furious. Because I've been having trouble I've been turning it off without saving quite a bit and had to listen to his speeches. He has anger issues.
I haven't managed to get my connection working since the other night. The fact that it worked for a time then makes me doubt it is computer settings, which would make sense as it had worked perfectly before. It's not someone leeching my signal.
So here's my latest theory - can someone who knows anything about this sort of thing let me know if it's plausable? My ISP assigns IP addresses every few weeks. I know this because I once had a time when I couldn't access certain sites. Turned out the IP address I had been given was not recognised by certain servers. So, is it possible that I got landed with a dodgy IP address that is affecting the DS connection to WFC? I haven't noticed any other internet problems but I have no other theories right now.
So far I have tried -
Reinstalling all the wireless USB key drivers.
System restore to several different times.
Turning off startup task thingies.
Scanning for virus/spyware/adware.
Adding WEP protection to stop leeching.
Resetting the connection settings of the DS.
So I've been playing offline the last few days. It's nowhere near as fun offline. It's a little lonely actually. Seeing as Nook is currently buying turnips for 43 bells, I could well find myself losing a fortune this week too.

Unlikely, but your DS isnt picking up someone elses wireless or something daft is it?

uhg, Lobo jsut moved out. Am gutted. He was going to give me something special not long ago but my inventory was full. I bet it was his pic. Grr, Baabara has just moved in. She seems nice but the resident of last town she was in has her saying 'I love you' all the time which is very disturbing.
Turnip prices today are 130.

i managed to shoot down gulliver again this morning....but unfortunately theres no collecting game this time, so i wont be getting anything cool from him.
i've also been on a bit of a tree chopping rampage today, getting rid of all the useless trees and apple trees that i dont really want. my cedar forest is coming along well though, its starting to look really nice with loads of flowers inbetween them all. i'm quite tempted to have only cedars on the left side of my river, but i'll wait till i have enough money to not need fruit trees anymore first.
