I dunno how you've managed that! I'm level 8 now, dark elf, played for 14 hours. Spend a lot of my time persuading people, casting spells that aren't necessary (protect on myself when there's nobody around, that sort of thing), sneaking almost every where, jumping and practising alchemy. Seems to have helped levelling up a lot.

Run into my first couple of problems today.

First one; despite having made sure I've never stolen anything or broken the law, I've apparently stolen 115 items and assaulted five people. I only found out when I went to ask a guard for directions and he asked me to pay a 40 gold bounty.

I can only imagine this happened when I went into a church and jumped off the tower onto another building, and down, so for whatever reason it's counted collecting things outside as belonging to the owner? Same goes for the assaults, as I've only ever killed bandits / creatures.

Second one is far more annoying though; I started the main quest and got sidetracked around Skingrad, and went into "Derelict Mine" to the east. (if you stick to the roads, you'll have it on your map)

It's full of "Sharp Tooth Goblins" who are vicious, and were coming in groups of four or five. After spending an hour and a half working my way deeper I came across a room

with a huge fire and corpses being burned, giving off loads of smoke and a shaman in the centre. (whose staff was worth about 9k alone)

After killing it, I set about exploring the room, and saw a small passage that had collapsed. I figured they might've hidden a chest or something behind one of the rocks, so I hopped over, but there was nothing there.

To my horror, it won't let me back, despite there being a huge gap above my head. I've tried everything, jumping like mad and managing to get stuck in the roof for a couple of seconds, taking off all my armour etc, nothing is working.

To make things worse, it seems the only auto-save was entering the dungeon - I thought I'd just have to go back to the door of that room. So that's an hour and a half wasted, and some really nice items that I may not get again as it's (partially) randomly generated.

I thought it auto-saved after every door you went through (with a loading screen) so I'll be saving every time I go through one now.

So i decided to explore and find some decent equipment and do some quests at the moment i am

doing azuras quest to eliminate some vampires its very very hard one enemy had a giant hammer 5 damage +15 electrical damage killed me very very quickly) another enemy in there kills me far quicker i just cannot beat him yet)

How does the levelled creature thing work?.If i went into cave but found it to hard if i came back later would theey be at there original level or would they match my current levl?
I believe, from what I read earlier in the thread that NPCs and creatures level up with you but only to a certain level, IE. they have a limit to the level they can reach. Certain enemies will continue to level up but things like wolves and other creatures will have a limit to what level they can reach... I assume all charcters have a limit at some point, but not sure.

Am currently level 8 and I done Kvatch while I was level 4/5... it was a challenge but never impossible. Just had to make sure I was fighting 1 or 2 enemies at a time as anymore and I would get overwhlemed.

Update: After typing that up and having breakfast, I came back to it (didn't want to load / turn it off) I tried equipping a Dwarven War Axe I had found, as a last resort. By angling the lunge attack just right, I managed to get out!

(and as a bonus, I now have another two or three levels in Acrobatics)

Had a bit of a glitch last night.

On the Artist/painting quest - I killed all the Trolls, and grabbed the paintbrush from the dead body. Approached the dude who's stuck in the painting. He said ok follow me I'll paint us a way out. But he got stuck just walking in small circles in a clearing. So i was reduced to firing an arrow at his bonce, so he chased me out of the holding patteren. I Sparked him out, and when he woke up he painted the exit.

Random! Only glitch/bug/problem ive had so far tho.

Ive just experienced a rather serious problem, I went to save and when I went to load I saw my last save was not there, a bit panicked as to where my save had gone I checked all my save games to find them sitting right at the bottom , and on the title screen when it loads from last save it loads from the top. dont really know whats going on here, I have taken my 360 back home and am now playing it on a normal tv but cant think as to why this would affect saving. Anyone shed any light on this problem?

Near the Imperial City is a dungeon with a conjurer outside. I trawled through the dungeon to reach a small room with a woman who was muttering about a blade that thirsted for souls. Or something like that. Couldn't talk to her, but she didn't attack me unless I attacked her first. Then she kicked my butt. What's it all about in that dungeon....seems very interesting...
                Thats
apparently the toughest npc in the game - the weapon she goes on about is the

Umbra sword, possibly the best 1h sword in the game, capable of activing soul trap each time it hits an enemy. She's part of Clavicus Vile's shrine quest which you can't begin until level 20 with good reason.

Cheers for that. I'll return back to that later then....

havent played this at all today getting bored now after my 38 hours, still got just under half the achievements to get. Game is very repetetive, go to said cave kill creatures, find out what happened, go to this ruin, kill ogres, woops never as simple as a mission appears to be, you must go to this cave for something, was fun for a while but tad boring now.

                          Cant wait.

Also why couldnt they create a "live arena" one on one take your character in and fight another persons player. Get ranked etc etc. Cant see why not.

I'm in a similar position. I've never committed any 'crimes' in the game, except one I needed to for the mage guild, and yet I have apparently stolen loads and assaulted a few people. I had assumed that this counter would only include 'red' actions but maybe it includes anything you do against a human (including bandits).

Trespassing is also a crime, remember. If you enter an area which is off limits (such as someones home) you seem to have a grace period before it is counted as a crime. Some areas though are very much off limits, and are considered a crime as soon as you set foot inside - if you are caught.

Some areas are off limits but still easy to get into, such as a few rooms in the various castles. They show up red when you go to open the door, but aren't locked.

I've never been in an off-limits area either, even if unlocked.
