    Moto GP 06 (360) - Demo

MOTO GP Demo is superb, make Test Drive look poor. Grahiics are superb, smooth gameplay and fun.

Just had a game on Live and it is super smooth, I am crap, but still great fun. 16 players can race on the demo for 3 laps, single player is 2 laps.

This is a must have download and will be geeting played to death over the nect few days

    Moto GP 06 (360)

The E3 demo is on Live now, and is a whopping 880meg or so.

Had two goes, seems much like the others to me, although the jerkiness is very disappointing with the outside view I prefer to use. The music that plays on the demo is diabolical also, but fortunately can be turned off, or you can play your own I imagine. The game is as hard as ever for a novice, Im sure there are intricate differences this time around but so far Ive not see any, no doubt those dedicated to the series will spot them straight away.

Found it much like the last one I played (MotoGP4) except with spruced up graphics.

Didn`t find the graphics hardly any better than the xbox version tbh, except that it`s running in HD and looks darker aswell. The frame rate ain`t solid, the tearing is bad, but then again it`s only a demo so hopefully this will be cleared up for the final version. Just seems very uninspiring and can`t see myself purchasing it.

this is Moto GP 4 Moto GP 3 was the last in the series (the PS2 ones are a different franchise with the same name).

Personally I think it's fantastic. The graphics are a huge leap over the Xbox version, honestly go back to the Xbox version after trying the 360 ver and you'll soon see it.

Just played the Moto GP demo. Ugh, it's absolutely dire! Why on earth is accelerate/brake on the thumbstick and face buttons.?! What happened to those nice triggers?

Visuals are mediocre Xbox 1 level at best. Frame rate splutters. What a waste of a download. I'll go back to Lost Planet and play a quality game.

I think the other Moto GP games were like that, the triggers are for front and rear brakes. I dont have a problem with that myself, more that it seems to lack any real flair, it looks to me to be another by the numbers motorbike racer so far, and graphically in particular the jerkiness is very disappointing.

You can reconfigure the controls, ya know?

Way, waaaay too much bloom on the leathers! And I'm in the 'doesn't look better than an xbox game' camp. Chalk and cheese obviously, but Lost Planet is a far superior demo - more polished, more content.

It's free mind! I'm not complaining...

I guess it's my magical Xbox360 again - this is exactly what a motorcycle game should be like, it's far superior looking to MotoGP3, I've just played them back to back and graphics glitches? I honestly cannot see what the issue is, with a very slight bit of tearing occasionally.

The handling is spot on the front/rear brake combo is right, this game is what riding a real motorcycle is like, it feels fast, it gets the blood pumping, especially after having played the somewhat awful Tourist Trophy.

Really looking forward to the full game now - and I'm off to try the 16(!) player online game.

Nice one, glad to hear that you like it Marty. Does the front wheel lift when the bike is accelerating hard?

It lifts when you shift weight to the back they do yes - with the 2006 bikes many of them actually have launch control, so they shouldn't and don't lift too much from start line. The bikes squirm the rear around as they should under hard braking, and it feels right. It's such a fresreshing change from TT - it feels very fast, you actually believe the bikes are as fast as they really are, plus there are a lot of other bikes on screen.

A good test for a racing game, to see if things are modelled well is accelerating down the straight at Donnington under the dunlop bridge, if you've ever ridden the circuit you'll know that there's a very slight bump there, and it makes the front lift - if that happens in a bike game, you know that they've been paying attention

Another thing I've always liked about the Moto GP series (although I did find that the handling in 3 wasn't as good as 2, this feels more like 2) is that the game allows you to spin up the rear when cornering, as many GP riders do so that the corners can be squared off earlier and so get back on the gas quicker - and that also feels right. Try that on the road IRL and you are likely to die.

The sample "extreme" track also seems to play a lot better than the ones in 3, although I always felt the reason for including them in 3 was down to the fact it wasn't very much different from the previous game. If the other extreme tracks play as well as the Tokyo one I'll be happy, despite me wondering why they are in a Moto GP game at all.

First go on the demo placed me 4th in the GP race and 1st in the street race, but the difficulty settings doesn't let you change it from the rookie difficulty.

My only gripe I've got is the loading times seems a bit long considering it's streaming off the HD - though it's plausible these haven't been optomised yet.
