Just got my US copy today and have been enjoying it muchly.

Only played about 3 hours and got past the 'intro' to the game.
The voice acting for the english dub isn't bad at all, the main character is particuarly good. You can switch between english and japanese at any time.

I was getting constantly fed up with the constant tutorials of how to press A to use an item though, thankfully that is over with now.

The Us one came in a nice little cardboard slipcase and had a small "graphic novel" with it also explaining the story before you start playing.

IGN has it down as "1-2" players, I know there's some kinda basic online duel option, is there any other kinda multiplayer option?

Just a simple battle mode I'm afraid. Turn based JRPG battles aren't a p[articuarly fun thing to play against someone else

Does anyone know if the US version is region-free (or at least works on PAL 360s)? I'm over there at the moment, and have been itching for some JRPG action for a while.

VG+ confirmed it 100% region free.

I got this this morning, loving it so far. Great service from play-asia too! Only took 5 days which is faster than the usual 8 or 9.

Was a bit suprised by the battle system, but i like it now. I thought it was going to be a traditional RPG. Enjoying the story aswell.

Got the PAL version today and have just put a few hours into it. Seems very nice! I like the fact that a lot happens early on, and you don't have to wait ten or so hours for the big set-pieces to kick in and grab you. I love the Japanese dub too... I tried the english voices and the camp guy made me want to eat my own ears.

Seems by the book stuff, but hell, I love my JRPG's.

The english ones are overall very good, Makoto is quite annoying although you don't have to put up with him for too much longer

You don't wait 10 or so hours for the big stuff, because the game doesn't really last that long. Its incredibly linear and if you're any sort of RPGer worth his salt, you'll have it beaten in little over half the time sadly.

                      Yet another wasted opportunity

Couple of hours into this myself, now. It's alright, but there are some things which really bug me. The amount of character models seems tiny. Even in the first town I was in there were at least 4 girls walking around that were identical, and another 5 girls selling stuff that all looked the same. Maybe it's just more noticible this-gen, but it bugs me!

Also, in battles it's kind of annoying that you can't move all your characters and then give them actions. It's move action move action move etc. Making it quite hard to set things up, occasionally.

Hand-holding in the first major area pissed me right off too, if I recall correctly. Every three seconds it's 'press A to do this' when I was fully intending to press A when reaching the switch anyway. I've been doing that in videogames for years.

Still, there's enough there to make me play on right now!

That goes on forever, it is beyond a joke , my girlfriend kept lauginh because I was getting so frustrated with being stopped every 2 seconds and told to press A

got this yesterday and spent all of last night playing instead of dead rising

i don't normally like this type of game but since i'll buy anything for the 360 i gave it a go and am really enjoying it

i can't comment on whether it is a good example of what it does having not really played JRPGs before but i am finding it super fun

i love being able to make your own golems

Chucked 1000 chips on lucky 7 late last night just messin about in the casino and it came up! I ended up getting that level 32 golem as a reward and he just kicks ass!

I'm not really fussed if this is a short game tbh. I'm enjoying it a lot and thats what counts.

The second boss in the lab is really getting on my nerves now (and no, I don't have Marlin...)
