Saw this in a local indie at lunch and had some spare cash so I thought I'd give it a go. I've done the first 3-4 levels so far and I have to say it's actually pretty good, especially for a movie tie-in. The action so far has been standard run-and-gun stuff, with heavy use of cover, but pulled off really well. There's been no special objectives as of yet, just blast your way to the end of the level.
There's various things to look out for in the levels though, one is packs of narcotics and the other is memory sticks. Narcotics can be sold to drug dealers or used to bribe informants, which will tell you the locations of the drugs, memory sticks, or where to disable the security cameras in the next mission. The memory sticks can be hacked back at HQ (which is where you save and withdraw/depsoit your drugs haul) by playing a little Every Extend rip-off which will unlock new weapon upgrades. At the end of each level you're also given a respect bonus based on what types of weapons you used and how many health packs you applied, amongst other stuff like what suit you were wearing (?!?). To begin with there didn't seem to be any reasoning behind the respect rating until I unlocked a drugs baron, who will give you a higher price for your stash. He will only see you if you have a high enough rating, however, it's not quite as easy as seeing one of the regular drug dealers. You basically enter a little mini-game where you must keep a marker between two points on a power bar (it's a little like the balancing mechanics in the Tony Hawk games) as you try and pimp talk your way to a sweet sale, the better you do the better the price you get for the drugs.
Visually the game is pretty good, definitely looks better in motion than the screenshots I've seen. It's not quite as detailed as say Syphon Filter, but it makes up for it with nice lighting.
Control wise, the developers have opted not to go with the strafe/look combination as it just doesn't work well without a second analogue stick. Instead you run around using the analog-nub and shoot use an aim button for an over-the-shoulder view and then you can shoot, but due to the nature of the gameplay it works as you're usually shooting from behind cover.
