Sorry I'm about to explode...
I can't believe I've got a fully translated version of Super Robot Taisen in my hands at long last. First impressions to me are that it seems like a luxury more than anything else to actually be able to read the battle quotes, and read the conversation sections with out referrring to the PC feels great aswell, but the menu's and intermission page just feels more like a luxury being in English than anything else.
I've also noticed the few name changes here and there already. Things like Zengar Zonbolt has become Sanger Zonvolt. There's quite a few issues of this nature, but on the whole what I've noticed so far the localisation seems like sterling work from Atlus. Some of the banter between characters may seem a bit far out there Japanese to some anyway, but still its just great for me to be able to read along with out a story faq.
I'll probably be talking to myself in this thread, but there you go. Western SimRPG fans must be the most hard done to bunch in gaming. First there's a wait of 12 years for a home console Fire Emblem to be released here and then we have a wait of fifteen years for Super robot Taisen. Hopefully this will open the floodgates and be the start of many more. I'll wait and see, but so far I'm an extremely happy bunny who's grinning from ear to ear right now.
