    Mega Man ZX

Had a quick go at this earlier today and it's quite similar in design to Metroid and recent Castlevania titles in the sense that you can revisit previous areas, and missions will have you running back and forth constantly between each of these to complete objectives. Other than that it plays the same as the Zero series on GBA but you're now able to swap costumes (called "biometal") which provide the character with different weaponry and abilities.

It's visually identical to the aforementioned series but the framerate does seem to have benefitted the most from the DS upgrade as it's much more fluid, even in crowded situations. Aurally it sounds like Mega Man, there are plentiful of recycled sound effects and music.

It does not appear to employ any of the DS' capabilities, the touchscreen merely serves as a placeholder for decoration, or the occassonal radar, as you move about on the top screen.

Personally, I'm not exactly thrilled of what I've seen so far (nor was I of the previous games), but perhaps this is more suited for the die hard fans.

Just a quick question, what's the difficulty like? As far as I remember the GBA version was stupidly hard.

Oh, this is far, far easier. Anyone should be able to get through this with minimal effort. There's more room for error as well.

That's good to hear. Although I hope it's not too easy.
