Alaskan Road Truckers (PC, PS5, Xbox)

Trucking games on console have been pretty pants. This one isn't perfect, but it's sure the best out of those available. It's no ETS/ATS, but it's pretty serviceable.

really like the immersion factor thanks to the game's survival elements. If you get tired, your character will start to heavy blink and yawn. Your belly gurgles when you get hungry. So, if you're hungry, get in a shop and pick up some food. Frozen pizza, soup etc. Frozen pizza? Yes, you have a microwave in your truck's cabin. You also have to get out your truck to refuel via pump or connecting/disconnecting trailers. Oh and talk to people for jobs.

Like other truck sim games, you can slowly build a logistics empire giving the game a bit more of an RPG feel. The game is based in Alaska, so there will probably be snow and other elements I've yet to have a problem with having only been driving through Spring and Summer. From what I've seen, there's deep snow and ice about.

If you like a truck sim and want one for console, then this is pretty decent. There are bugs though. Hitching whilst saving is a bit off putting. The game also runs at 30FPS, but it's stable, so it's not so bad to be honest.

Game is £21.99 too which is a plus point.
