Super Woden GP II (Steam, PS, Xbox, Switch)

I love top down racers. From Rock n Roll Racing, 1000 Miglia: Great 1000 Miles Rally, Super Sprint to Motorstorm RC.

Been out for a while on Steam, but just dropped on console for just under a tenner. The game's presentation is quite Gran Turismo 2 with its map. Plus it does have a lot of cars which you can upgrade. Over 180 in fact! It plays great and looks great too. All made by one dude!

Worth a tenner out of 10.

At first I thought it was called Terry Wogan Rally...

The long awaited sequel to Russell Harty Racing.

I loved World Rally in the arcades ... defo up for a new top-down iso racer. I clocked it on the eshop this week and very tempted to give it a go.

I've played the prequel on Switch and it plays really well.

It's development name was Mr Motivator's Motor Race TVAM

Sorry I missed this thread, hudson, this looks great.
I must've seen or posted this elsewhere, but it's out now.

I see that the original game is reduced to £3.79, but realistically, £9.99 isn't that much more, plus it's nice to support a one-man studio.
One reviewer went back to the original to compare and said although very similar, the physics are better in the sequel and a bit more forgiving and thus enjoyable.

Another one said that it beats a lot of the big name racers of the year because it's nostalgic, but not for nostalgia's sake, it works really well on a handheld (think Motorstorm RC or Super R.R. Pro-Am), it's better than it's predecessor in every way, and that it works out of the box on day 1 without bugs or DLC!

I also think the sequel is meatier in terms of content. It will have you grinding to make cash to upgrade your cars. Think of classic Gran Turismo.
