Sam And Max Season 1 /Save the World

Just played the introduction scene inside their office and already i'm cracking up laughing, some great dialogue going on with superb cartoon style graphics. I've not played the original in years but the wit and charm for me is still there.

Episode 1 cost about ?5.50 in total, it might be only about 2 hours gameplay but you could spend a fiver on alot worse things! Will post more impressions on the rest of the game soon but so far it's excellent.

    Welcome back S&M

Sams voice is a bit grainy, but otherwise it's alright.

Just tried the demo and immediately purchased the full version Good stuff.

Has had me in tears already with the Weenie eating a weenie at Bosco's Inconvenience.

How do the voices compare to the originals? I read it's different people, so I was wondering HOW different? I completed the original many a time and each time was a total joy - and totally hillarious!

maxs voice is fine but sam's isn't so good at times. I think the scripts excellent, maybe not reaching the dizzy heights of the first but still good.

Just played the demo, really liked it. Voices aren't spot on but, well.... it's sam and max dammit!! A point and click adventure!!! I think they'll get better as the season goes on and although money is a bit tight at the moment with all the new stuff coming out, i'm gonna find it hard to resist buying the whole season.

Been playing this a bit more since it hit XBLA only did episode one on PC , I find I'm more at home sprawled across my bed playing games.

I've been really enjoying it, I've done the first 4 episodes, so far I've loved creating mischeif in Midtown Cowboys and swapping Abe Lincolns Cue cards around.

The music/songs are fantastic, really high production values.

I'm enjoying this too - never played the PC versions, but I'm a big fan of Hit the Road.

I had heard that this was merely okay next to the original Lucasarts games, but mostly it's been excellent. Just a few really obscure puzzles naffed me off a bit, but the script and songs are hilarious. Top value too.

I've been really impressed with it so far, obviously it lacks the variance in locations and awesome graphics of the 1993 original, but they've done an incredible job of bringing them back.

Yeah the script is hilarious. I wish I could talk like them in real life.

I picked up the Wii version off Play a couple of weeks ago but haven't had a chance to really sit down with it. It seemed solid from the brief tester I did, plus Season 2 on Wii is out at the end of the month so I better get cracking.

                          Finished! Loved it.

I loved who the baddie turned out to be and the final 'battle' was excellent. Especially Max's line when you win:

                          Pasteurised!

Really wanted to play this on 360, but various places are selling S1 on PC for under a fiver atm. Only problem is my PC probably won't run it very well

I seem to remember buying my last 2 2100 pts cards from Zavvi's going bust sales in store for £12 each though, so it would probably even itself out if I did go 360, plus the only other things I want off of arcade atm are the MI remake tomorrow and Turtles re-shelled (which is 400 pts too much for me to warrant buying currently, especially if I can clear it in 30 minutes still)
