    Winning Eleven DS

Anyone also get this? My copy arrived today and I've played 5 matches so far.
Graphically it's very, very basic and blocky (especially on set pieces) and gameplay-wise, it's more or less like ISS Pro/ISS Pro 98 on the PSone which means no continuous diagonal running and so on.
Control wise it's identical to the PS2 with:

    A - long ball/cross/slide tackle
    B - pass/attempt to win ball
    X - through ball
    Y - shoot
    L - switch player
    R - run

To be honest, despite being a seasoned Pro Evo vet and used to all the gameplay features, this didn't feel like an awkward step backwards. Maybe it's because I have very fond memories of ISS/ISS 98 but I'm really, really enjoying this a lot more than I expected to.

Haven't tried it out online but I expect to do so tonight or tomorrow.

It's not bad so far. Defo best footy on DS. But damn, make sure you change the difficulty before starting a game, because default is stupidly easy.

Yeah, I am finding it a tad on the easy side.
        Any menu translations available?

Havent checked yet. I'll checkout Gamefaqs. I think the difficulty can be changed during the kit change screen. It's the option below where you change the kits.

I found the penalties a bit of a joke to be honest.

Let's be honest here. The penalty system is the same in current pro evo games. Six directions with random misses.

I don`t like the long passes, free kicks and corners, there isn`t enough control because the response is so direct. It looks like absolute ****,especially compared to the PSP version graphics, but it plays better and that`s what it`s all about. But damn those graphics are just nasty. Drawing a circle is too hard nowadays on a DS?

                  Got this today.

I think I have found what appears to be my friend code for WE DS.

Anyone else want to post theirs so we can try having some online matches.

I managed to get a match-up with someone in Japan, terribly laggy like a stop motion film in slow-mo, and we ended up getting disconnected during the second half.
