Pump It Up: Exceed PSP version

Well, the first immediate thing you're probably all wanna know straight away is how does it play?

The bottom down key on the d-pad is left down arrow with the left shoulder button as left up arrow. The X button is the right down arrow with the right shoulder button as the right up arrow key.

The middle arrow button is either the square or the circle button or the right key on the d-pad but strangely enough, it's not on the left key on the d-pad...

So all in all, you've got yourself those keys to play as 1 player... Which put simply, it's a right mess!

There's also the usual options to speed up notes and so on...

There's also an option to play it on double mode which I tried by accident but I don't even wanna go that far bearing in mind how confusing it is just playing it one player single mode.

What's pissed me off as well is the single player mode, you can only play it with the notes going up on the left hand side of the screen and not like in the middle.

Other than that, the presentation is upto the usual Andamiro standards. It's all really bright and lovely with loads of tracks and loads of to unlock but to quite honest it's more painful to play as the controls are so confusing.

Basically, it's the PS2/PC version Pump It Up: Exceed on the PSP.

Not one of my better rhythm games on the PSP.

I'd probably rate it 3.5 outta 10 and I probably won't play it again.

If you're after a rhythm game, do yourself a favour and get DJ Max...
    It's so much more enjoyable.

Bring on DDR instead for the PSP!!!

Considering that I thought it'd be impossible to bring a Pump It Up game to a portable console, I thought they did alright with this!

However, the controls are not that refined and its not very friendly to newbie players at all...

They even included nightmare, where you press up to 10 keys (!!), and to be honest, I dont see how it can work on the PSP.

Not bad, but could have used more refining.

Is it just me or is sensitivity a bit off in PIU PSP? I got that strange feeling which I never had in DJ Max, here it seems I press keys perfectly but yet I record miss. I had the same feeling in Taiko no Tatsujin with notes cramped together.
