    Elebits / Eledees

Well this is the first game i have tried on my brand new wii & im loving it.

I have tried the first 2 levels so far & it feels like finders keepers mixed with pikmin (^_^)

You have to find elebits by trashing the house using your tractor laser thingy, when you start out your laser is weak & can hardly move anything but as you collect elebits it grows in power allowing you to lift heavier stuff.

You can also power up items when you have reached the power requirement to turn it on, when you activate an applience tons of elebits pop out hehe.

Controls so far feel pretty good but im a bit shaky as im still getting used to the wii controller. More impressions later.

Wll i have put some more hours into this & im upto stage 13.

In the last level i had my laser picking up 1 ton objects, its amazing been able to grab cars & trucks & throw them around like cardboard boxes.

I have discovered theres limits in certain levels for example. In some levels your not allowed to break stuff & in others theres a noise limit so you have to be quiet when throwing stuff. There are powerups though like the silencer which gives you a limited amount of time to wreck the **** out of the room without been heard.

Theres tons of different elebits to find, some only appear under certain curcumstances & then theres a whole host of rare items to find in the enviroments your turning upside down. & finally there an edit mode so you can have a go at making your own rooms.

theres a lot of extra stuff in the omake section to collect & find.

Definately a must buy, the controls get easier as you play im now having no trouble at all.

      Thanks mate

I might give this a try. I'm looking at it in the same way that I looked at Pikmin before I played it and Pikmin ended up being mint!

Been playing round more with this today & i discovered that theres quite a bit to finding hidden elebits.

For example in the the bedroom level in one of the cuboards theres a board that 3 toy blocks will fit into. If you search the room & put the 3 correct blocks into the holes it will make more elebits pop out. Same with the kitchen level, theres a toaster that you can put bread in to make the same thing happen. Its great thtat in all the chaos of ripping the **** out of these room that theres little extras like this hidden away to find after repeat playings.

Also when you go back & replay levels it will unlock more stuff depending on your rank when you finish the level. So on each level theres going to be quite a few scoring modes. I have managed to unlock eternal mode on the first level which lets you play without the countdown timer & i have unlocked a few more like score attack & challenge mode.

Must say i like the artwork in the cutscenes its really beautiful (^_^)

Might as well add some more seeing as i seem to be the only one enjoing elebits at the moment.

Last night was the most fun so far, after seeing off another elebit boss i was allowed to do the street level, nothing prepared me for the pure bliss of been finally able to pick up an entire house & fling it down the street. The street enviroment is huge with tons of elebits to find in the unlikliest of places.

Found a new weapon last night too, the vacuum laser (^_^). Oh god what fun, its like been armed with a tornado thats set to suck. You can literally tear the level apart as it finds & starts sucking elebits in by the bucket load.

Konami have really done a top job with this game.

From your impressions i was thinking we love katamari for the wii, do you think thats a fair relfection?

It definitely has similarities to the Katamari games in the way you start of carefully picking your way through the level but end up able to tear pretty much the whole area apart. Particularly when you unlock endless mode. I've been playing the US release over the weekend, and it's really fantastic fun.

Yeah i agree it feels a lot like katamari, including finding all the different objects & items in all the areas as it has a gallery where you can see what you have found so far.

The endless mode is ace but its tricky to unlock on each level as you have to find the pink elebits to get it & those buggers are very well hidden on some of the levels.

Got this on Saturday and spent pretty much all of Sat and Sun playing this. Absolutely loving it! Very addicitive and keeps you wanting more and more. It's a tad easy (aside from the stages with a limit on the number of items you can break/amount of noise you can make) but still very enjoyable.

The only thing that dragged me away from this was Zelda

                    This game needs more love.

I unwrapped this today and it's the perfect Christmas game! So much charm! The music is very catchy and sweet and special mention has to go to the artwork.

Essential purchase and not to be missed, can't add to what import and the others have said but you all MUST have this charming game.

                    Wonderful.

Oh, great game to master, lot's to unlock and find. Speaking of which, White Elecbit's are bloody tricky buggers to find!

Oh yeah thee white ones are hard to find. Pink ones are not that easy to find too.

Wait till you get to the levels where you can throw houses around its incredible.

                        Wow! Houses!

I've sunk a few hours now, restarted the 1st 2 missions to get S-rank on.

So much to do! You can be inventive and uncover more 'nest's' by placing childrens block's together.

It's such a great game though! Elebit's have moods. You get less points for grumpy or scared ones where other ones which are singing give max points. There's objects around that can inspire good moods so using them in huge clusters is wise.

                        Ace, ace, ace.

                        You competed it yet importaku?

Hehe yes houses & nothing will prepare you for the sheer fun when you realise you gun has gained enough power to do it (^_^)

When i hit a house for the first time & it wobbled i was like OMG no way

                          No not completed it yet.

Dont want to either, im upto level 15 if i remember. I just dont want it to end so im just enjoying replaying the earlier levels, but like you have noticed theres an obscene amount of secrets & stuff.

Getting eternal mode on every level is going to take some time.

The later enviroments are pretty big & take quite a bit of effort to extract those little buggers.

Yep, I'm up to level 24 (the arcade level) and it's easy on paper (no noise/breakage limit). Something like 35000w in 15 mins but the level is really small and it takes quite a bit of effort to find them all in time. Loads of those annoying hedgehog things about too.
Only tried it once though and got to about 30000 then ran out of time so I'll have to keep trying.

Hehe you get bonus points johnny if you can spot how many bemani arcade machines konami sneaked into this game

Shame this game is been overlooked, its fun, original & quirky with beautiful artwork in it.
