I think there's only one, which respawns as stated. The "other" worm that shoots at you is actually its tail.

You don't actually have to kill it, fyi. But you do get ab achievement if you do.

50pts, so it's worth going for. You need to shoot out a few of those targets on it's head section to kill it. I think 6 does the trick - 3 on each side.

As an aside, the Worm Hunter achievement didn't unlock for me right away, even after finishing the level. It unlocked itself after I re-did Mission 2 for the target markers though.

i just killed the worm and i got the red goo stuff, no acheivment ???


i then ran on a bit and tried to kill another worm who had all his spots, and i was eaten, does this meen ive buggerd up the acvhment?this is bugged badly

I found the standard machine gun best for giant worm disposal. Just go for the weak spots, dodge his plunge attack, then continue on the spots 'til he goes underground. When it's tail end is up, keep on the move, circling him while firing on a weak spot. You shouldn't get touched by the bombs if you keep moving.
Indeed, he has a death animation which will see him surface while giving off a wailing sound, before leaving a pool of T Eng. And as mentioned, you MUST fully complete the mission to unlock the achievement. Same goes for the

I'm using VGA and the tearing is possibly the worst I've seen so far, and that includes playing MotoGP, it's constant!

You can't access the game settings during the game, you have to quit to the menu, all I want to do is tweak the controls and aiming. Rubbish!

Once I get going I'm sure I'll see past its flaws, but tearing is unacceptable.

I noticed the tearing being horrendous in the intro movie but I can't say I've noticed it in-game.
