Yes and yes. I think a script of explanation must have been lost due to the fella dying as well as the guards. Not only do I not find a hidden uniform, I don't undress any of the dead Sith to get theirs! They still lay on the floor, fully clothed, no record of what had just happened other than I suddenly had a uniform in my inventory

RPGs can't do that to me, because I need hand-holding on them: they don't come naturally to me, and the way they play feels alien. Oh well, I guess it'll come over time.

The dancing was quite amusing. I got everything right except the very last dance, where I fell on my ass

About the sith uniform.

I got the uniform a differen't way, I don't remember saving anyone from getting killed to get it or killing an guards.I went into the cantina in the upper part of the city and talked to a female (Off duty) Sith guard and persuaded her to invite me too a party she was having.I went to the party later and all the guests who were also off duty Sith got drunk and passed out because the alcohol was so strong, I then took the uniform off one of them.

Anyway i'm still loving the game, The mini games are great and i did the *Spoiler* Dancing mini game, It was fun *spoiler*I've just got bastilla in my party as well.

Come to think of it, the Sith guards which I 'borrowed' the uniform from were still wearing it too. I do remember feeling a little puzzled on how to get the uniform...only to find that I already had it.
How did you fall on your ass on the last dance? Did you actually select 'Take a dive and ruin the audition'? You meanie. I was perfect in every dance, but the biatch burnt me afterwards saying that I was a nobody. Biatch. I will have my revenge...I assume this is the main plot of the game?

I think the thing with the uniforms is obviously just a glitch. Shame for me to find one so early on. That could give less forgiving people than me a bad impression....


In the dance, I just chose to dance next to her or at the side of her as I thought appropriate. It was only the last one that I got wrong. When she started to chide me, I called her a whore or something (I dunno, the things I do to become a dark Jedi! )

Anyway, tonight I made it off Taris and got to Dantooine. I have to admit that when I finally got my saber and saw that yellow blade go shooting up, along with that electrical sound we all know and love, it gave me the most delightful shiver. I was like, "Oh yeah, now it's on." Can't wait to customize it even more...

By the way, can people be more aware when they are posting story details. I don't want to know anything about the game before I get there myself. Remember that some people have only just started the game, so please use the spoiler tags.

Not to worry, I've been careful not to mention anything that wasn't detailed in the IGN and Gamespot reviews, trust me the spoilers have been very light in this thread.

Training at the Jedi Academy was a lot more interesting that I had suspected, learning the significance of light-sabre colours for one, and also talking down the Jedi who had 'strayed' when I encountered her in the grove and having her then join my party afterward. Your comments on the Dark side path are interesting Treb, and pretty much what I expected; you can gain far more material wealth and power, but have to up your experience through the brutalisation of others rather than helping them and talking it through.

As it stands I am a light Jedi and have very little money as a result, but I am rich in spirit! ( Which isn't as useful as it sounds in a Capatalist galaxy, let me tell you ).

I've been given a list of Bounty Hunter missions, a little disappointed that I couldn't choose one at a time (I'm a very simple person you know, I get confused easily). I accidently found the female assassin, but promptly ran away

I also agreed with the bigot that all aliens should be wiped from the planet, and got a big pat on the back and loads of dark side points.

As for the bounty hunter missions: yeah, I'd prefer them to be in order, like in Flashback. I can only hope I accidentally run into my intended targets at the mo. Clues to their whereabouts are vague and inspecific.

Yeah certainly, very vauge.

What I love about the system Bioware have created, is that on the Quest menu, what you need to do for a specific mission is always updated with whatever you learn. For example (a complete example, made up and probably not in the game), a mission could be to kill "the owner of a shop" - and this will be listed in the Quest menu. You then find out the name of this owner, and the details in the Quest menu is updated - Kill the owner of the shop, his name is..***, etc.

For a game with such complex mechanics running behind the interface, Bioware have excelled in keeping it simple for the user. Really, this is the best front-end I've ever seen.

Yeah, it's great. I'm just getting used to the depth now. The interface is both simple and deep, and graphically easy to digest. I wouldn't go as far to say it has the best frontend or GUI ever, but it has the best out of any RPG I've played, for sure.

Which character class have people who owned the game picked? I went for soldier, but am regretting it a bit. He just doesn't seem that multi-talented, and is a bit limited. Oh well, you make choices and you live with 'em.

Male Scoundral, though I am also regretting it. For most of the time playing it so far I've been running in with my duel swords while my party member (Soldier) holds back with blasters. Hmmm
Changed it about and now I'm doing a little better. Died a few times already, which is a shame. I don't really like fighting with blasters as my guy outright SUCKS with them. Good job that soldier is good then...

I'm building my character up to be a Jedi Han Solo (a little evil, but a good heart), which is nice.
