I think I read somewhere that they don't, maybe on the first page?
It's really frustrating playing this, it requires so much skill, you can't even botch your way through it. I'm going to get good at this if it is the last thing I do!

I agree with Evil Boris, this game really hurt my eyes and my wrist!

I've never tried Guitar Hero on PS2, but yesterday I got my copy for Xbox 360, so the following thoughs are made only on experience from that.
The guitar itself looks good enough at first sight. It's a bit smaller than I would imagine, but I guess that's good if I ever need to take it with me somewhere, sometime. But I think that the buttons are a little too close together, actually. Sometimes I'll press two buttons at once, and moving my hand up and down to reach them all would actually feel more natural in my opinion. Also the guitar seems a little "thick" (maybe I have small hands), so the grips doesn't seem optimal.

On the beginning of Career mode, I found a song that I love (Heart Shaped Box) which was a great way to start out. I've read the though the playlist, and there seems to be a lot of great songs. I do miss some Led Zeppelin or more Nirvana though.

I'll try more later tonight, and hopfully get more songs.

Question: Is there a difference between the PS2 and the X360 version, that makes so many people complain about problems with their eyesight on the X360 version?

Both version do it to some people, I think there are a fair few people that haven't played the PS2 version and haven't experienced the Guitar Hero eye melting that occurs, hence all the complaining. Both versions do it to me anyways.

Both here as well. But I'm not complaining - that's normal for any game like this.

This is my first venture into the GH universe and so far I'm loving it. My fingers are taking a beating, mind. I'm finding practice is everything here. I am shice, but i'm loving it. Aaah Them Bones. Classic!

Just finished it on hard - they definitely don't stack.
That makes some sense as they have things like "get all easy tracks 5 star", but it's going to be a trawl to go through them.

In fact getting all achievements on this is going to be pretty hard...

I traded my PS2 GH kit for this today, but as of now I can only access dlc and Ahievements outside of the game. Where are the in-game menu options to look at Achievements and available dlc... anyone?

This Rocks, haven`t ever played Guitar heroes before.

Me and a pal went out yesterday and bought one each, then ensued an 8 hour binge of lager and guitar playing. Stuff of genius, and we spent about as much money as we would have going out to a nightclub and getting trollied.

I`m finding medium reasonably difficult, god knows what hards like :/

Had the eye problem too myself and my mate got a serious headache, but the length of play was probably to blame :P

You should try extreme, even as a very good guitarist there is no way on earth I'll even finish a song on that mode I doubt.

Out of interest, how come the shop isn't open on easy mode, you only get paid on normal difficulty and higher? Seems a bit unfair, my wife was gonna have a go but there's no way she could go any higher than easy

oh man i am so loving his game, it's the abolsute shizzle. played GH1 last year to death but not GH2 so this is all new for me. finished the career on medium to get back into it but have started Extreme now, it's a lot harder than GH1 though i finished the entirety of GH1 on expert with the exception of 'no one knows' but the solos on say Hangar 18 is just to much!
good live support to, but the lack of online play and Live Vision Cam is a missed opportunity, could have had a small video box in the corner of you and your opponent rocking out for laughs!!

Picked this up yesterday and have spent a bit of time on easy mode (stop sniggering at the back) getting to grips with it. Not played a GH2 game before and am enjoying this immenseley.

PAL version works on an NTSC-J console btw.

I think my Whammy bar only works when the bar is in a lower position, plus I've found the guitar tilting to be a tad hit 'n miss, but I the jury is still out on that, as it could just be me. The Whammy is deffo not perfect for me.

Yep, the whammy works for me but is definitely less sensitive and more temperamental than on the PS2 SG.

My plan though is simply to wait until better, fixed-and-sorted solus X-Plorers are on the shelves and then keep this one for whoever is player 2.
