The coop is pretty decent with the right people.

I loved the ninja dress up.

How does the co-op work then Chopemon? Is it the same missions with two people sneaking around instead of one?

Yep, it works exactly the same.

Tragically there are no coop moves or set pieces like the Splinter Cell Chaos Theory coop.

Also, completing the stages in coop don't count towards the achievements for completing a number of levels. All other achievements unlock though.

Might be something to do to rack up kills then, and do the missions on my jack.

Just hit a brick wall in this game that's really pissed me off.

Mission 17, you have to sneak around a large seaside village taking out about 12 blokes. Then you jump aboard a docked ship and enter A SWORD FIGHT, and f-ing SWORD FIGHT!!!!

The boss is rock hard and trashes you with about 5 hits.

My point is, the whole game is about sneaking about and making stealth kills, then the bloody game forces you into direct combat for the first time (if you've played the game well). I didn't even know where the sodding block button was, because I rarely get spotted and have to engage in direct combat. It's as if the game has punished me for playing the game efficiently, as intended, up until now. Why change the tack at a certain point, turning it into a feeble button cruncher for one unavoidable battle? I've spent the whole game perfecting the art of the silent assassin kill, now I'm getting my arse handed to me by a turd on a boat.

What's more, defeat = RESTART!!! Not of the battle, but the whole bastard mission, sneaking and all. I've tried sprinting through the town but this causes enemies to leap onto the boat during the boss fight to give you a grade A reaming. I've tried stocking up on 7 health flasks but the controls are so fiddly and he takes so long to drink the thing that you get screwed in the meantime.

It's really ruined this game, at the moment I feel so let down and punished as a gamer that I just can't be arsed to go back to it ever again. Pisspoor, lazy game design that's tried to avoid repetition by mixing the styles and has completed shot the experience to **** in the process. I could see myself getting 700 points on this game but I'm bailing after 200.

Grow a pair and take it on! Otherwise I won't buy it!

That is the hardest fight in the game and like you say, unfair and frustrating.

I found it easiest to load up on mines. Block all his attacks and move away from him when you get a chance. When you have some distance place a mine and jump back immediately. Always keep the mine between you and him but not so close to the mine that it will catch you when it goes off. He will move towards you and then blammo.

Keep doing this till you are out of mines. Also load up on healing potions and projectile attacks. You then block and learn his animations, getting in an attack as and when you can.

It will take a few attempts but it works and then the fun continues.

Screw you. You couldn't even manage a mission without stumbling up some ninja's ring and taking a beating.

Thanks Chopemon, I'll give that a whirl. It's not the boss fight that's depressing, rather than 20 minute sneak-a-thon before it. I'll try with fresh legs another day.

D/L'd the demo for a nose at it.
Was a bit o' fun for a while, but it seems you can't change the Y axis in the demo, can you change it in the full game coz it's totally confusing on the default up=look up setting?

I just loaded up on health tonics, and just kept hitting him, i didn't find any of the game very hard tbh.

You will kick yourself when you realise how simple it is, once you trigger the boss you jump back onto the ramp to the ship and the enemy will jump onto the ramp also, as he jumps you strike and he will fall in the water. He should not get the chance to touch you!

That could be a lifesaving exploitation of a crappy situ.

                          Superb.

That is the best Tenchu game and this is nothing like the quality of that.

It is fairly bare bones and crude but still fun for a Tenchu fan. Nothing like the horror of Tenchu on the PSP.

Did it, but with stress. I wasted 4 tonics, because he'd block ALL of my attacks then somehow blast through my defense with a 4 hit salvo. Proper **** game design. I got totally worked up because I knew I only needed to hit him a couple of times to send him for a swim, but he just wouldn't be hit.
