Played some more of this again this morning, World Tour mode with Inter (NO Adriano in my starting XI though! ). The computer AI is the biggest of all the improvements in this version imo. They really know how to close you out in this one defensively (played on equiv of 5 star), and don't commit themselves with challenges for you to skip round as readily in the previous versions. It also appears they double up on your dangermen, however because of the improved 'freeness' of the ball it's now so much less scripted and more satisfying to slice the centre back and full back apart with a perfectly timed through ball
Going forward the CPU is a lot better and less predictable too. They're happy to use tricks, cut back and cross & shot fakes to throw you off the game now. CPU players seem more open to attacking in general now, with players supporting each other with more off the ball runs.
Off to play some more before the Charidee Shield and BBQ gets started...

How different is this graphically to PES6 on PS2? Pitches etc.. Spotted any more new animations?

Only played a couple of games this morning... and could only really notice a couple new side shimmy animations thus far.

Anyone know if there are any other boot edit designs?
because all you can change are the colours, which is suckage.
Also, does anyone know if there are any official boots within the edit screens? as i couldnt find them.

I'm liking the Fantasista Mode in this. I do think it's a "testing ground" personally for Seabass's ultimate vision of 11 v 11 online play (be nice to get 1v1 working properly first!).

The Player Cam works well, although it takes the L1 function off, since that's used to swing the camera round (as you would if you were having a look), but it works well I think. Quite exciting being brought on as a sub, scoring one and providing the assist for another.

However, the main problem with Player Cam is the horrendous slowdown that frequently occurs, luckily, it can be changed though to your regular WE view-point. Although, the problem with that is your not so aware of surroundings by using the radar at the bottom of the screen.

Got this yesterday not played many games only 1 so far as was editing for 4 hrs still gotta add Klose, Anderson, Pienaar and Bale . Givin my Japanese skills a proper work out. Will update more once finished messin around. Waitin for Bro to come bck frm work so I can get beat. Prob already been said but def different to play, the ball feels heavier, the players feel like I have more control over them and the stats tweaking seems good especially for Drogba for example. As usual better than any of the previous WE/PES IMO Gonna play Fantasia mode now will update soon...

Yes the boot and hair editing on this vers does indeed suck this cutting of these options may have been done to free up space for A.I or more modes to be added, and i'd rather hve more modes to be honest, there was heaps of hair styles before that I did not really use. I do miss Adidas F50+ tho

Boy, the Community bit is quite... strange. Basically, the premise behind it is to track the statistics between you and your friends who come over for challenges, which is a welcome addition to the series, but it asks you for your Blood Type and Zodiac Sign.

Blood type is very popular in Japan like star signs over here, my Japanese friends used it on me to judge my character.This mode was on WE10JLeague as well it takes up heaps of mem space I think tho. Not sure if it updates transfers either if you do them after you set it up. Ala World tour mode start it then Pizarro moves to Chelsea but does not update on World tour mode that you have saved. I got excited as well about community but if it does not update transfers I don't see the point.

I doubt it was cut for memory reasons as the last J League Winning Eleven was only 2.04GB.

I notice a bit of slow down on Fantasista mode, this is my only prob with Fantasista mode though. At the mo I play for Sendai who were the mid team I could choose. I have played about 10 games I think and been benched in a few but normally come on. Only once or twice I have not been in the main team or subs. I play SMF and they stick me on right or left midfield. I got sent off in my first game and in another game dropped for no reason but besides that it's going well.

I think this WE is awesome and the extra modes are good so far, I have no complaints besides no Adidas boots, and non licensed Premiership teams. Took me about 4 hours then 2 hours the next day to edit the kits as I do and do most of the main transfers.

I played my bro a bit had some good games and enjoyed them the passing and shooting is def better as well, no matter what anyone says. Big thumbs up from me if this is what PS3 Winning Eleven will be like plus a lick of paint that's good enough for me.
