    I'm 100% buying this - it's very, very impressive.

Does anybody know if you'll be able to get a few of you together and play about online ?

Think I'll also crack and buy this, well impressed !

edit - Also, not the full city online MP but

Online Gameplay: skate features an extensive online gameplay system including multiple online multiplayer modes. Gamers can hit up popular spots in the city with friends across the country.

Sounds not unlike Saints row kinda..

        Another + !

Still loving this, but what's with the initial loading stuff? You wait for ages for a screen that says "press start". What's it been doing all that time? After pressing start, it says "loading" !!! You then wait for ages for a menu to appear which says either "start demo" or "quit demo". When you choose start, you then see another "loading" screen. Seriously dull.
I expect it's just based on the full-game code, which will probably have other options available in between presses of the start button, but they've just been "blanked out" in the demo.

Played this a couple of nights ago, and was dumbstruck ... amazing graphics (if a bit cold and "realistic"), the physics are out of this world, and it's absolutely nails, especially if you come to the party with a Tony Hawks mindset (guilty m'lud). Really tempted to get it, but I'm feart I'll be total rubbish at it. Waah.

I've just noticed where they may have got the idea for their grind system from:

            Grind Session!!

I distinctly remember that when u want it to do nose/tail slides or blunt/noseblunt slides u had to ollie 90 degrees, then be in a particular position i.e. next to the object for tail/nose slides or over & above the object for blunt/noseblunt slides.

U had to do it all on the 1 d-pad though, so its moved on maybe a little!!

This is an excellent chance to make an amazing online more, 4 or 5 people all hanging out in one skate park doing tricks and showing off cool stuff to each other.

Anyone know what online is like, will it have the same kinda free roam mode, or are they only offering timed challenges etc. I know you cant access the whole city at once online but a pseudo free roam non timed mode on Live would be ace!

Been enjoying this demo, really like the "feel" of the skater and didn't really have too many problems picking up the controls. I have a few minor grumblings but pretty polished for a new IP.

Anyone done the melon 360 over a ramp so you end up going head over heels? Found it out by accident then worked on perfecting it, was really satisfying to land!!! Will have to post a vid.

ps. can someone enlighten me on how to perform manuals?

^ Push the right stick halfway forward or back. It tells you in one of the tutorials.

Ahaaa, will give that a go.

Was too busy trying to find some decent lines, that 's one of my grumbles, I'd admit I'm not a skater so may find it difficult but the camera angle doesn't help.
