Btw regarding the friend tokens, is there any point in NOT converting the ones you receive? Can you actually pass ones you receive onto other people if you don't convert them? If not, why bother asking if you want to convert them...?

The friends tokens are converted to green tokens for buying stuff in the "Extras" section...

Quick question. Whilst playing Metroid my Wii's disc drive intermittently but frequently clicks like crazy. Has anybody else experienced this or, as I suspect, is it likely my console is playing up?

It's normal, the game is loading up a new room or something else. However, if you are idling in a room and the console clicks...well, there might be something wrong.

Umm... Nintendo does replace them if you send your console to them. It is clearly stated on the manual.

The last half hour beating Morgenas has been one of the single most boring gaming experiences of my life. I think I hate boss battles.

I got to the sky town level tonight and wow, truly stunning art design. I have no doubts any more that the Wii can produce gorgeous visuals at a proper grown up frame rate. Awesome stuff.

As pointless as the comparison is this game is absolutely up there with Bioshock in the quality stakes. I hope this sells and sells and sells and everyone gets the message that super high production value exclusive Wii FPSs are worth making.

Yeah, it's a beautiful looking game and, at 60fps, incredibly smooth. I was playing it last night then went straight to Oblivion (360 version) and, jesus, the difference in frame rate was staggering and so bad I had to turn it off. Not saying Oblivion's a bad game, far from it, it's one of my all-time favourites, but it's never looked so slow before. I suggest anyone with both games spend half an hour with Metroid, then load up Oblivion, the difference will surprise you.

Finished the game today at veteran...10:21, 100% pickups (can't really leave things around when you know where they are, can you?)...still a bit too easy for my taste.

I'll restart the game in hyper tomorrow to see if something changes...I still have to figure out how to claim all the gold credits needed to unlock everything else.

Just had fifty minutes fighting this boss myself - ended up just switching the Wii off because I really can't be arsed with it any more.
