It's certainly one of the better 'gamer' type games on the Wii, and if I only had the one console I'd have possibly been more pleased by it, but I spent much of the time on it thinking I would have been having more fun with one of my, as yet uncompleted, AAA 360 titles.

But as I say, roll on Galaxy.

Man I though I'd have to buy a game for my Wii then after what seemed like a glowing NTSC-uk review. But I guess I don't have to now. Back to the dust gathering you little white fiend!

I don't think you've made a mistake. It's an utterly brilliant game in my eyes. The NTSC-UK review makes some fair points, but (without wanting to get bogged down in review score nonsense) it's certainly not a 6/10 game. The control, combat, art direction, atmosphere, pacing and boss battles are all far too good. It rocks hard in all the important areas.

I've beaten it on Normal and Hard now - just readying myself for Hyper - and i think it is a wonderful game. Not stunning, like Metroid Prime, but a worthy end to the trilogy. I thought there were some questionable decisions made, certainly - including the much discussed Hunters - but nothing that ruins the overall experience, which is still fantastic.

Marklar, definitely give it a try mate :-)

No, it is a very good game. The review made some valid points, but was overly harsh and appeared to be trying to out-Edge Edge.

Get it. It's brilliant in parts and ultimately, though short on new ideas, is a good game. Besides, it's not like us Wii owners are exactly spoilt for choice.

I loved it. Its linearity and disappointing boss fights let it down somewhat compared to the GC games but it's still one of the best games I've played all year. I'm rarely one to complain about scores, but how anyone could even justify a 6 is beyond me when I think of all the other games that have scored similar on here. Usually I find NTSC-UK reviews to be pretty much the most reliable around but this is one I'll just have to strongly disagree with....

I found the review to be very well written and it engaged me to the end. I won't find out how much I agree with the reviewer until Corruption hits bargain bin status, I was already well bored by the end of Echoes to bother with a third no matter how good the review scores.

I think I want to try it out more to see how the controls work than to experience the game.

Cheers for response guys. Its already arrived so off to try it now.

I was enjoying this until i got to the

energy cell collectathon that you need to do for Valhalla

What a load of rubbish, just feels like it was stuck in there to artificially lengthen the game. Don't think i'll bother completing it now, they could have made that a lot more simpler than the way they did. It's just annoying.

Apart from that though I don't have many other complaints about the game, but that's just annoyed me so much I can't see myself going back to it.

You only need five cells to do it, if you don't unlock wrong doors.

Indeed, you only need all nine to get 100%. And you run into most of those you need in the general course of the game.

To be honest I found the collection much better than either Prime or Echoes as I managed to acquire the majority of the cells as I progressed. Still, they never really bothered me as it gave me an excuse to revisit the beautiful worlds.

Finished this 100% with about 20hrs on the clock - loved it to pieces. Obviously a different focus to Prime and Echoes, this traded some of the exploration aspect for a much improved pace and feel of continuity. Echoes was the most puzzle/cerebral focus whereas Prime was a balance of the 2. I think I still find Echoes to be my preference but all 3 contribute to this stunnnig trilogy.
