Nascar 2008 Demo

I think I can sum this up in a sentence.

I had to double check that I was using a PS3, and not a PS2.

I'd have been embarrased to release this demo. Avoid.

Graphically woeful, looked better on the 360 from what I can remember. Think it's out on both formats here in the next week or two so don't any major changes between the demo and final product either (360 version has been out in States for couple of months now).

Shame, first time they've released a console Nascar game over here in a while and it's a steaming pile of brown stuff

Yeah I downloaded it over a week ago, it's the worse racer I've played in years. It actually made me feel sick it was so ugly and ****.

Daytona on Dreamcast hooked up in VGA with 20 cars on screen at 60FPS looks better than this.

The EA teams really don't seem to have gotten on with the PS3 at all - I've tried the other EA sports demos and they all suffer from being jaggy and horribly jerky. This one is the worst of them, but FIFA 08 seemed like playing in treacle, in fact, Tiger 08 was the only one, but that had tearing I've not seen since MotoGP 06 on Xbox360.

Not a good sign for PS3 EA sports by any shakes.

thourght i was playing a bad daytona rip off on the saturn for a minuite there, had to check my ps3 was on and that it was actually on the console .

Madden 08 & NCAA 08 both run at a 'shaky' 30fps on the PS3 (and it shows) but a rock solid 60 fps on the 360....the less said about 'em the better. The funny thing is that Madden 07 was 60fps on the PS3 so I'm not convinced it's all down to hardware issues.

Because of the relatively small PS3 userbase I wouldn't be all that surprised if EA took the decision not to spend a lot of time / cash on the PS3 versions this year. There insistence on sticking to release dates regardless of what state their games are in doesn't help either.

Funny how all this heavy critisism actually gets people like me downloading it to check out the damage!

It's truely diabolical though. The comparisons to PS1/Saturn sounded a bit like exaggeration, but it's really not, it's funny stuff this.

Lemme whip out the Saturn and play Daytona any day of the week, thanks.
