No I didn't care. Because in HALO1 the Warthog run was a new experience and an epic finale. My problem is not with the Warthog run in HALO1, it's with the rehashing of it in HALO3. Why can't you grasp that.

well, i see where you are coming from. some people will say this level just pays homage to Halo and others will think it's highly unoriginal. both is true. i think we all just have to accept that, for the better or worse, Halo 3 is to large extent a remix of its two predecessors.

so it doesn't offers many new settings and the last few levels are more or less exact remakes of Halo levels. on the other side there is the still functional and fun 30 seconds (or were it 20?) gameplay, the atmosphere and the characters we all use to love.

as i've already said it's just a pity that the story conclusion is so weak, or better say not existent. what did Bungie just think? just let most of the main characters

Personally, I don't think that any ending would have been 100&#37; satisfactory for a title that was as hyped as this

the final level is a massive nod to the first Halo but I also found it incredibly easy, even on Legendary. Whereas on the first Halo I struggled to finish the final level even on normal.

Maybe I'm just getting better at games as my years go on

I don't know if I've spoilered stuff that didn't need to be but I don't want to risk ruining the game for people who haven't played it yet. Because, as a complete gaming experience, it rules!!

Some of the achievemnts just dont seem to be working for me, all the ones that say things like "kill 5 eimies with headshots" or "kill 5 enimies with the needler" just arent being activated when i have clearly done the required thing.

also on my profile on bunjie.net it says I have the legendary achievment when i dont yet... infact acording to the site i had completed the game 3 times after only owning the game 2 days.

Is there no way to open custom games to the public? Last night all me and 3 friends wanted to do was set up 4 vs. 4 ctf on a specific map and play whoever fancied dropping in, and it wasn't possible. After years of pc gaming this seems like the most basic requirement and, unless we have missed something obvious, this option doesn't exist. In the end it was random gametypes and maps with the match maker always filling the roster to the maximum 5 vs.5. We didn't once get to play the level and gametype we wanted - infact we ended up playing a load of crappy ones on maps I wouldn't have chosen to play them on - it was rubbish.

Well no, you said Halo 3's ending wasnt great becuase you knew what to expect (becuase its like the first Halo's ending). All I was saying was that you surley must have known what was gonna happen in the orginal game as soon as the halo run started... so with your way of thinking surley that means that you didnt find that exciting either.

IMO the one in this game is actualy better than the one in the original, and despite how derrivative i think its done relaly well... but thats just my opinion of cause and like some other guy said its obviously different to yours.

Maybe there'll be an update like with PDZ and you'll be gifted with your achievements when you log in. <fingers crossed>

I had to use the sniper rifle to get the headshot achievement. It doesn't seem to work with any other gun. (Maybe the beam rifle would work)

Well, that sucks. It's also quite baffling. Bungie give us all these great gametypes and maps and don't give the option to play them as we want.

Don't they all have to be in a row though? I got the needler one but it was after I went on a grunt needler massacre. For the headshot one, do you have to get 5 headshots one after another?

No the first one was exciting because it was original. It felt epic and was a suprise really. Running the lenght of the the Autumn was something I hadn't done before. To do it all again (or something so similar) in HALO3, just felt like deja vu (spellling?), and disappointing.

Anyway, I'm over it. Game sold on ebay yesterday. See you all when HALO4 hits.

Okay, to all the people having problems with the 10 headshots. It has to be with the sniper rifle, the BR/carbine/pistol do not count .

Just load up the Ark, you'll get it straight away.
