Horrible game-type, hopefully Bungie will see fit to "relegate" it so it doesn't pop up as often.

Mind you, with the amount of stat tracking they're doing, it won't surprise if they're already aware of it!

Can anyone find a post anywhere on the web that explains all the game types and what the objectives etc are? King of the hill, VIP etc...remember I'm not a Halo vet, this is all new to me...

As for Shotty Snipers, consider me another hater. I always veto it.

Perhaps it depends on the map? I've only come across it once, but it was a nice wide open map with 5 vs 5...so it wasn't too hectic (I tend to avoid anything bigger than 6 vs 6 unless it's friends only) and I got a nice kill with the sniper right at the start.

I'm quite enjoying Shotty/Snipers now, played it on The Pit and Narrows last night and both worked well. I used to hate Sniper only gametypes in 2, but the sniping seems less luck based in this one and the shotty ads another element to the game type, if you don't like sniping.

Best tactic I've found is to stay in a reasonably confined area with plenty of cover around. You can then just pop your head out to see if there are any easy targets to snipe at a distance and easily mop up folks that come and try to flush you out using the radar and the shotgun !

That's very cool and exactly what is so great about the Theatre feature. Most moments like that would have been completely lost in the past.

Would be a fantastic feature for any game as you say, but I fear it is beyond most developers.

GTA4 would certainly benifit from a system like this which maybe recorded your last hours play !

Yeah, it's a shame that it's such a complicated thing to do really, as there are so few games that I can think of where it wouldn't be worth including.

Isn't it? To be able to record for an unspecified amount of time and play it all back from any angle, any perspective, showing everyone's HUD and being able to fast forward/rewind all of it?

Can't be as simple as it seems if they couldn't even get it all to function properly in campaign surely?
