OK, I'll start adding names to my list tonight. God bless the messenger chat-pad.

It is a major difference to me, as I do not really have any interest in replaying any part of Bioshock, as there no specific battle which I would wish to replay, but I will certainly replay Halo 3 over and over purely because the battles are such fun, and can be approached in so many ways. While I appreciate they are different types of game, combat is surely at the heart of them both, and to me one does that very well and the other does not !
I agree with some of that and feel Halo 3 is a direct contrast to Bioshock. Bioshock looked and sounded sublime (as good as Gears in parts) and created brilliant atmosphere but was, ultimately, rather boring to play, especially later on in the game. Halo on the other hand looks and sounds dull and generic (music not withstanding), but thankfully it plays very well and consequently is a lot of fun, especially in co-op/multiplayer. As a videogame I certainly prefer Halo 3.

I have as well for someone who is relatively new to FPS play with the controller. Had couple of parts where I've had 3-4 deaths but other than that not too may issues. I've taken a much slower, tactical approach to the game though.

Go to xbox.com and do it from there. A lot quicker.

Maybe I'm just out of practice I normally like to play slow and tactically like B1gBeard stated, but I can't help but feel the pressure when the grunts start screeming for back-up ... cue wading in and getting a good hiding.

i see theyve gone back to halo 1 co-op in terms of when one player dies, the remaining has to come out of combat for the other to respawn.

I prefered halo 2 co-op where when one dies, they both go back to the last checkpoint.

Would be more challenging that way. especially in legendary! Im finding it a bit easy!!

Also the 15,000 meta points acheivements. Are they acheievable in co-op? Myself and friend got 16,785 on the 1st level between us, but no acheivement???? Does this have to be in single????

Momo, there is a skull in the game which changes it to play coop the way you would prefer. Don't ask me where to find it though !

As always with this, they've thought of everything !!!!!

                  This is something quite special.

Today, a mate at work asked me to explain what is so special about Halo 3 and I found it hard to put into words. Obviously the core mechanic of guns + grenades + melee + shield is still the best mechanic for a FPS ever, despite being the same from Halo 1. But with the addition of fanastic level design, set pieces, sandbox play, variety and detail it eclipses everything else.

And a special mention should go to the pacing which is just so spot on. It's helped obviously by the unbeatable score.

I'm glad that they kept the innovations to the non-gameplay areas: Forge and Theatre. It gives the game the sense of innovation it needed whilst still being utterly true to the core. Good call.

Overall it feels like a developer really flexing its muscles and it's impressive to behold. Halo 3 is a gift to Halo fans by giving them everything they could want in one package, whilst demonstraring that they aren't a one trick pony (not that many of us thought they ever were). The most impressive thing is the small tweaks to the game that all make an already amazing game even better (the improved Brutes, the return of the Assault Rifle, the new Flood, the new vehicles, the equipment - everything).

A few may say that it looks poor, that the art is bad, that the sound is too low or whatever, but this game proves fundamentally that's it's the mechnics that actually matter and the rest is just dressing. This game nails the mechanics perfectly.

So the meta points are for Single only or what?! Or do i have to activate the skulls to increase the multiplyer and get a combined 30,000 on co-op?

Campaign scoring is meant to be competitive so you need 15000 for your individual score.
The more skulls you activate the more points you get
