Guitar Hero III - Demo (360)

From the wonderful Bleeders in the Headlines thread, I thought this deserved its own thread to talk about the demo!

Well, the time has come kids.

Nearly 2:30 am for me, and with a midterm tomorrow, I've finally done my good deed for my GAF.

Remember. You have to get the "Content" folder and put that (with all the nonsense in it) onto the DVD and then the demo will be where the other demos on your 360 are when you download them (game blade, demos and more).

Let me know if there are any problems.

    Nighty night, GAF.

    You get 5 songs:

Hit Me With Your Best Shot
    Pat Benatar

    Lay Down
    Priestess

    Even Flow
    Pearl Jam

    Rock You Like A Hurricane
    Scorpions

    The Metal
    Tenacious D

Only played the first so far but its cool!

The layout on the menus is quite different and so is the game itself, feels quite weird and looks very different too. 4 starred the first song on Hard on first go, should be able to 5 star is easy enough but something just feels different when playing. Cant put my finger on it!

    Get downloading people!

(I hope we're allowed to post about this Demo Downloadage?)

I so want to play Rock You Like A Hurricane, but don't have any blank DVDs. Or any means to go and get one. ****.

Where did this demo originate? If it's not one that you have to pay for I can't see a problem.

Not sure where it came from!?

You can use a CD mate, doesnt need to be DVD, thats what I done! No CD's lying around?

Try putting it on a memory stick or something connected to your 360, may work also!

Just done Lay Down by Priestess, thats a belter of a song, a real finger breaker! :lol

The same demo is in the just released Tony Hawk game. Coincidence? You decide.

I thought it was quite obvious this'd be the demo included in Tony Hawks ???

I've got 1 DVD at home but plenty of CD's and I needed the DVD for this weeks TV so it's all good

Now I just need 800 points for E4.

Oh thats a great song, a real bastard though, starts off nicely, lots of chords etc, manage to get up to a 300 note streak then it hits you with tons of mad solo ****!

Bad news though, the demo has a timer on it, just finished the song and it quit back to dash, didnt even let me see my score!

No interest in TH so I didn't realise it had a GHIII demo. Jesus.

My word, what a nice suprise!

Do you just burn the iso to a CDR then...? I don't get how it appears on your HDD?

Yup, burn the .iso as normal, put in your 360 then go to demos and its there!

Takes a few minutes to load it up though for me, loading screen at the starts just sits for ages then eventually kicks in!

Just done The Metal, tricky song, was rubbish at it! Only managed to 3 star it on first attempt! Its quite quiet too, cant hear it very well, then you turn it up and all you hear is the sound of you missing every bloody note!

Oh i see, so it doesn't "install" itself to the HDD, it just appears under demos when the CD is in...how strange.

It'd probably load quicker on a DVDR as the 360 is a DVD drive first isn't it?

Can't wait to play the D's "THE METAL"...LOVE it. Is it the real track or an atrists impression ?
