According to Insert Credit you can get the blood by setting your 360 to Japanese. If that's true, I wonder why it's not on by default? If it's in the game, the ratings boards would take it into account, no matter what language you have to select to see it.

Untrue unfortunately.

Got it last night. Switching the Language (not the Locale) does indeed change the blood from white back to original red. It's sort of cool, kind of like a region switchable Neo-Geo AES or the dip switches on MAME, but still it makes you wonder why have it this way at all. Why not a selectable in the games option? An update to allow this would be great.

Using a joystick, I can find nowt wrong with the controls (or the white blood, since that's what the English version should have) and the slowdown seems accurate. If I was to nit-pick, there's a big pause when you unlock an achievement and the leaderboards don't disqualify scores that have been earned by credit-feeding. I would've prefered an option to turn off the border art as well. Other than that, it's a decent port of a superb game.

I downloaded this expecting the worst, but the filter itself is surprisingly good. It's better than any filter used on any other Live Arcade game and I'm fairly sure it's not the Eagle filter (which does blur the image). It looks like the high quality filter used in ZSNES to the point where the graphics almost look like they have been redrawn at a higher resolution (which of course they haven't).
I do agree that the game should have come with the option to run without the filter, but it doesn't bother me at all and usually I hate filters.
