Taking a break from my usual games blagging I actually decided to actually spend money on a game and decided to pick this up for the not unattractive price of ?25.
For those unaware, this is a fishing game by Hudson and so far it's been pretty good fun. You can fish by pulling up to hook, shaking left and right to tire it and turning the nunchuck in a circular motion to wind the actual line in. If you want to cheat you can simply use the C and Z buttons for a soft/fast/ line in but this is a little lame and takes some of the fun away.
There are about 8 different zones to unlock (I'm still in the first at the moment) and you'll have the option of taking part in tournament or catching specific fish for your grandad. The Map I'm on so far has a shop for buying new bait and rods, a selection of different spots to fish from and a tournment which i'm just about to enter. Whenever you visit a new area your dog usually finds you a gift which can be anything from a new fishing spot to a specific type of bait.
There's over 100 fish to collect, the graphics are rather cute and twee and remind me of Harvest Moon, while the actual fishing is very good and a huge improvement over Sega Marine on the DC (I've not played Bass on the Wii yet). I'd imagine that you're going to tire of it rather quickly as there's little variety to the missions, but it's easily a title I can constantly see myself returning to.
