    Don't be silly.

Anyway, like I said I managed to get ONE transfer working from the official site, which makes me a bit more hopeful. I may actually even bother trying to make my own now.

Ady - have you got any other headphones you could try? Never had any problems with the data load myself and I'm only using a cheapo pair of headphones. Another thought, does the DS mic work correctly on other games that uses it? I seem to recall some people at Neogaf believed it might be a hardware issue rather than software in some cases

Anyway, this is the only game I have played in the last month and I can't see that stat changing any time soon considering I am only just starting to put together some levels of my own. Some of the thought and effort that people have been putting into their custom stages is absolutely insane, particularly when making tribute levels to their favourite games. Got a couple of ideas for tribute levels myself, hopefully they will work as well in the game as they do in my head! Really excited about putting together a Tempest 2000 level, if turns out to be a good'un I will post it here when it's ready!

Parkinho - where are you downloading these homebrew stages from? Is there a dedicated fansite somewhere, or are you getting them via personal comms.? I've only got stuff off the official Treasure site so far...

Not sure where he's getting his custom stages from, but besides the 2 pages on the official site, there's also Wired from neogaf who has put together some great ones.

Oh and Ady, have you tried putting one of the headphones directly on the mic without holding it yourself?

That's the way I'm getting the best results.

Place your DS on the table and have your L or R headphone placed right in the middle of the mic so that the wire goes straight up over the top screen, so it holds the headphone in place.
Then it's only a matter of finding the correct volume setting and it should work 95% of the time.

I've mainly been using the NeoGAF thread which is packed full if custom levels. Also I think Gamefaqs had a couple of decent threads and I stumbled across a few on YouTube. There is also a competition going on over at IGN where pro game developers have made their own levels, though I haven't tried out any of them yet.

Am sure there was some more websites but can't remember them at the moment, will have a search in a while.

I tried downloading some levels today but just can't seem to make it work.

                    Any advice?

Picked this up earlier from Gamestation pre-owned. Had been thinking about it for a bit, though wasn't sure how I would get on with it. Had issues with the tutorial. No idea what was going on often. Found some of it surprisingly hard, considering it was a tutorial, and even when I did succeed it wasn't entirely clear how... Gave up on the last level of the tutorial in bemusement, and put the DS down for a while wondering what the best way of selling the game on would be...

But then decided to give it another go a few hours later. After a bit of Gamefaqery, things began to make a little more sense. I've now done 13 of the "proper" levels. And it's fantastic fun. Something somewhere has clicked. I'm hardly a master at it (have been abusing the awesome Bounce weapon to make up for my rubbishness), but it feels like it makes a little more sense now, while remaining crazy enough to be engaging.

Think I might be hanging on to this one for a little while longer...

[EDIT: Oh, but what on earth were they thinking of with the UK box? Doesn't give the slightest clue what the game is about, and not even a screenshot there. Admittedly an explanation/screenshot wouldn't really help that much, but it's better than just knowing that the game is a "shooter" and "has 160 levels".]

Right so I picked this up because it was only ?15 and my DS needed some new games as I'm working abroad at the moment. But, I just don't get the game at all. I never played the original (its sitting in my Dreamcast pile though...) and I just don't find this fun at all, have no idea really whats going on and can't be arsed with all this different weapons stuff. Sounds far far far too complicated. Anyway, I've done the tutorial, apart from the last level which was too hard and I've finished about 10 random levels throughout the game. Even though there is a tutorial I feel the game sort of just drops you in with no clue to whats going on. I have no intention of playing this again but I have heard so much good stuff about it. I just don't get it...

Man, you're not alone. Admittedly I've only played through about half of the tutorial so far, but I haven't got a ****ing clue what I'm supposed to be doing.

Count me in as another clueless type - got this at Christmas, played the tutorial once, totally lost.

not gone back to it since, and i really feel like I should. >_<
