Euro 2008 [DEMO]

Something I must've missed, but it is in the demo I've heard, is the vibration feature. Didn't notice it in 08, but apparently, when you hit the post the pad vibrates accordingly, when you get a penalty, the pad beats like a heart etc.

It's definitely in there, at least for hitting the post that is, since i've done that twice already.
Not had the fortune to have a penalty yet.

Still cant get enough of the create-a-celebration!

Yeah the create-a-celebration is a great little addition. Not had a penalty yet but have had a couple of free kicks from 20-30 yards, finally in a "FIFA" game you can take a decent free kick now! The change of camera angle is a big help, it is more PES like now. I will definately be picking this up now as I am really liking the demo, must have had like 10 or 12 games now.

Is there any other UEFA tourneys in this? Like Champ League? Actually, I doubt there's club teams?

Is Torres boss in it?

I don't think there will be any club teams mate. Torres should be included though as Spain did qualify for the finals, hey even England are in the game and they didn't qualify (had to mention it).

This mode sounds very interesting.....

Captain Your Country
Play as yourself on the same team with up to three friends, all playing individual positions on the pitch. Compete collaboratively to win games but compete against each other for the captaincy. Develop your player through eight status levels to earn the captaincy of your country and the right to lead your team.

I thought the freekicks in FIFA08 were pretty good myself, scored some fantastic ones on it with Ronaldo.

lol nope its gone! I was 60% through it last night and stopped to play reektann on Fifa 08 (which we've both switched to despite being hardcore PES fans - haven't looked back since! ) .... and now its definately not there :/

There's an amusing little glitch where you can get either team to wear the opposing teams jersey (for example, Germany wearing France's home kit)

Basically, choose the same sides ex. Germany vs. Germany >
leave the kits as they are, then go to the next screen, which should be the game settings/ stadium choice/ ball choice etc >
then go back 2 steps, so you choose which country you want to be. >
now choose different teams, and go through the menus as normal.

upon loading up, your team should be wearing the opposing teams strip.

Played this enough to know its deffo getting purchased. Its really progressed nicely since FIFA08 which was already head and shoulders above PES08.

The shooting has definitely been sharpened up and shots have a much greater sense of power now. Dribbling is also noticeably more responsive and that little bit faster.

If EA make the same progression going into FIFA09 its gonna be one hell of a game, gonna be hard for Konami to win my heart back to PES.

Update. Just been playing some more and you guys were right about the graphics and Kits, they are amazing. Also Franck Ribery's likeness is bloody spot on, its got to be the most close to real player i've ever seen in a sports game.

Will be getting this too. Impressed with the gameplay tweaks. The players move about a lot less floaty. It doesn't feel like I'm steering the players. Much more responsive me thinks.

Only gripe was the close-ups of the players. Still all look ogre-ish and my goodness, get an iron on them kits.

Interesting, I thought this was just going to be a shameless cash-in with updated squads, but I guess not. If it is an improved '08 then its a must-buy. Will download the demo just now....
