Im gonna have to check this out. I actually disliked FIFA '08, could see it had improved but just found it still lacking compared to PES '08... discounting online play of course.

Really been underwhelmed with the football titles on 360 so far so hopefully this is something to tide me over until a really good one comes along, dare I say it FIFA '09? Of course unless Konami actually realise how pants PES '08 was online this year and put all their efforts into fixing that.

Fifa 08 wasnt that great on the 360, it was kinda slow and clunky, however the PS3 version was brilliant I thought and alot better than Pro Evo.

I havent tried this yet but it does sound like the first 360 football title worth playing from first impressions so far.

360 marketplace demo is now back up

Wow, this is bloody decent! Me and my mates recently switched to Fifa 08 from being HARDCORE evo fans due to the absolute shocker Konami have had on the next gen consoles. Loving Fifa 08 but man does this turn it up a notch! No one massive step but lots of little collective tweaks make this a big improvement for me. The players feel better balanced and movement feels sublime, there also seems to be a better distinction of pace - particularly noticeable when you get a player to make a run using LB, they really dart into space now.

I think this is a must purchase and will become the new footy game, well at least until Fifa 09 coz lets face it us England fans are only going to be able to stomach playing Euro 2008 for so long

          WOW!!!!,

This is bloody good and the demo knocks Pro Evo out for the count . Brilliant fast flowing football with some of the best football models yet . My only worry is it can be easy to score somtimes , but other than that . Seabass and Konami have a lot of work to do , to top the way EA is taking its football games

Just gave this a quick go on both the ps3 and 360 versions. Very nice indeed! The 360 seems much smoother than the ps3 version for some reason. The menu's and character closeups on ps3 were very juddery.

Just tried both versions of this myselfand i agree the 360 version is smoother, which is really odd seeing as it was the PS3 version of Fifa 08 that was the better one.

However the framerate issues in the PS3 version might just be becuase its an early version of the game, they will probabaly be fixed by the time the game is released.... probably.

At a guess, I'd say the smoothness could of been due to the PS3 having a lack of anti-aliasing? Probably made the framerate a bit better. Stil looked good, mind.

Yawn fest, looks lovely but everything feels so sluggish and the defense is a shambles all the time, far, far to easy to score.

Sluggish?, not sure about that, seems pretty smooth to me.

It is really easy though, but then the demo is set to Semi Pro, which is usualy pretty easy.

Semi pro was easy on Fifa 08... the default setting was actualy profesional, or well, it was for the next gen versions of the game anyway.

Played this last night and I absolutely loved it. MASSIVE improvement over FIFA 08.

I would have pre-ordered it by now, but I'm not paying full price for one tournament.

Not played it yet, but I think it is better to keep money for Fifa 2009 rather than buy Euro 2008.

Very suprised by the demo. Looks like I could become a Fifa fan over Evo for sim footy (excluding Wii PES) which I thought Id never say.
