    Pokemon ranch Wiiware

LOL not really much of a game as such but still pretty fun, just given it a quick spin & it's actually not that bad, well if you like pokemon that is.

You start the game by picking which mii you want as your rancher & then your plonked in a farm with another girl who lives there. Now unless you have pokemon diamond or pearl your going to be bored out of your tits as you need it to download your pokemon into the ranch.

Now once they are in you can spy on them & interact as well as taking pics which you can annoy people on your friends list or save them to sd & annoy everyone on the net

Theres challenges issued where the rancher girl will show you a wanted poster & you have to go into the ds game & find & capture one of what she wants & bring it to the ranch. There will be a little map to let you know what area the pokemon she wants is hiding in. some are full pictures & some are black sillhouettes.

If you have the ds games & your a fan then it's a nice little companion program, however those expecting massive gaming experience you better stay clear.

Does the game have any impact on the DS games? I've heard something about obtaining items/eggs to transfer over.

Yup depending on how many you transfer in you can get fione & mew both come in cherish pokeballs too.

One thing i forgot to mention is when you put a pokemon in the ranch it vanishes from your ds game, but you can send it back if you want however it can only go back to the same game you sent it from.

A Mew eh? Sounds like it's worth the price of admission for that alone (no idea what a fione is though, there's no entry for it on Serebii.net). Normally I'd just use an action replay to hack them into my game, but after what happened with my copy of Ruby I'm paranoid I'd end up erasing my data again

              It's 1000 points.

to get that mew you have to put 999 pokemon in your ranch which means levelling it up quite a bit.

Still haven't gotten around to playing this even though I cleared extra space on my wii for it. Will give it a go sometime in the future.

This is the best pokemon companion program ever devised by Nintendo in my opinion for such an absolute batgain price and the extras that it includees is brilliant as well as the picture sending stuff, the pokemon do all sorts of strange and weird thing's, and i just love playing relaxing non games like this every once in w while, it kinda reminds me of Doshin the Giant.

I have no doubt whatsoever though that this was an N64DD game that got cancelled for the add on once the success rate of Randnet became apparent, as the graphics and everything suggest this was built for the n64, and now has had added functionality to obviously transfer characters from the new Ds title, as well as Mii functionality.Though I am sure Mario Artist, and randnet picture support would have been available had this made it out for 64DD.
