I completely missed the annoucement on this and just happened to see it listed on the Arcade blade earlier. As a little bit of a board game geek, I've been praying for an XBLA release of this for months, but never knew it was actually in development. My family and I love the board game, and this version is fantastic too. Yes, it's simplistic, but like Uno, it's an excellent wind-down game after a hectic session on COD4 or whatever. I notice there is a download content option, so hopefully they'll release TRT: Europe soon which has a little more variation that the original game.

I like the board game ones. The demo was good and I'll probably buy it when I next get some points but it doesn't seem like it'd be very interactive in multiplayer. You pretty much keep yourself to yourself and work on your own routes. There's no trading and visciously stealing resources like in Catan.

It looks like people have some problems understanding how you score in the game. Here is cross-post from the marketplace thread:
- You get points for each completed waypoint. How many points you get depends on the length of track:
* 1 car = 1 point
* 2 cars = 2 points
* 3 cars = 6 points
* 4 cars = 7 points
* 5 cars = 10 points
* 6 cars = 13 points
- By completing destination, you receive score designated in the ticket at the end of the game. In the other hand, if you don't succeed reaching the destination, you will lose points designated on the ticket. There is no limit on how many tickets you can hold in your hand.
- The player with longest, undivided track gains 10 points at the end of the game.
- The player with most points wins.Last edited by elkatas; 27-06-2008, 05:44.

Agreed Mike ... I can't stop playing it.
Hammered someone yesterday, with a final score of 191.
The instructions are a little bit lacking though, no mention of how the in-game scoring works (thanks elkatas for the info above), and no mention of how the game ends ... I *think* once someone has less than 3 trains left, that's the final turn? Still not 100% sure on that.

it has some new rules and stuff too.
You can place stations in cities to "borrow" an opponents track out of that city (though I think there's a bonus if you don't use them).
There are tunnel routes, which depending on your luck, might cost you extra to build.
There are ferry routes that can only be built with wildcards
And a couple of Euro-only achievements.
Other than that, same great game ... haven't found anyone playing the Euro map online yet though, presumably the yanks will just ignore it.
