Ok, I've played through the first world on my itouch... how do you unlock the second? All I seem to have access to is hard mode for world 1. Do I play through that? Or do I have to collect all the bananas?

You have to do the Easy and Hard mode for each course.

You'll find the Hard course for the first world is an entirely new set of levels.

Just got up to the third world now, easy stages still so i'm about half way through it and it's making me grin when i'm playing it. Controls aren't perfect but for a launch game it's excellent.
Argh, I've reached my nemesis: level 3-6 (with the 3 hump-back bridges).

My tilting skills can't handle it!

This got a right hammering off IGN.

Anyone want to comment on whether they are being harsh? I was planning on getting this, but that review kind of put me off.

Well I agree with their frustrations and shared the same problem playing it in bed. It's hard to find the default position and it seems to get very twitchy. I do wish you could modify the normal position and adjust sensitivity. So, yeah, I agree. But does that take it from an enjoyable game to rubbish? I don't think so.

You need the firmware 2.0 update.

As for the controls, I find it extremely hard to get things back under control once I start to lose it - the camera moves all over the place and you invariably fly off the edge, often within touching distance of the exit.

But before things turn manic it's pretty controllable.

I will still give it a go then. You never know Sega might provide an update for it, as that seems totally possible with the App store.

I actually thought the Carling iPint was pretty controllable

I can't manage that one either. So easy on the Gamecube and yet do Hard on the iPhone... Accelerometer is a nice device but nowhere near precise enough for the demanding gameplay of Monkey Ball. They should have adjusted the levels to make them easier all the way thorugh the game. I don't think I'll ever beat 3-6

They've adjusted the deadzone apparently in the new update.
