    Facebreaker Demo (x360)

oh dear, oh dear, oh dear

what an awful horrible no brainer of a game

i loved fight night but other than EA these titles share nothing. this is a horrid generic button mashing pile of crap

    that is all

Did you like Ready 2 Rumble as that's what the videos have reminded me of?

I'm just making my character and then I'll edit this with my impressions.

It certainly looks like it was made out of my arse. Doesn't even look as good as Ready 2 Rumble a game almost a decade old...

ready 2 rumble was high art in comparison to this.

as was Super Punch Out on the SNES.

          I quite liked this

It's a bit button mashey but it was certainly nice and satisfying smacking people about. Maybe one to get when it drops in price

            I liked it too.

Its deeper than it looks - the skill isn't in attacking, but defending. Getting the timing down for the dodging/parrying looks like it should be fun, and I can imagine some proper epic back-and-forth fights between skilled players

I'd recommend playing it a couple of times on a harder difficulty (and reading through the 'how to play' bit in the options menu) before dismissing it completely.

It's getting a lot of flak cross the board. Were people really expecting a cartoon fight night? They said from the get go they wanted to make it accessible to everyone.

i wasn't expecting fight night at all but rather an update on Super Punch Out & Ready 2 Rumble, both games which I enjoyed greatly.

this was just a shocking button masher with no refinement at all, worse thing I can say is it felt like an EA product of a few years ago, shiny tossed out drivel lacking in gameplay.

I just found it really easy to pick up. Like I said it is very button mashy but there was plenty of strategy needed - especially on the higher difficulty.

I'll wait for reviews but I'd happily pick this up when it drops in price.

Unfortunately, the big thing at EA this year is to make games easier to play to attract non-gamers. No skill necessary, brain in neutral.

They're doing this with some of their 'serious' sports franchises too but hopefully it'll be an option rather than an enforced thing. Personally I think they're risking getting stuck between two stools and pleasing no one.

I blame it all on Nintendo! They can pull off the family gaming thing but the bandwagon jumpers can't.....simple doesn't necessarily mean dumb.

I hope this new attitude isn't going to affect Fight Night 4. Are any of the original developers involved in FN4 though?

This confused me, I was expecting a Boxing game, but instead I got a fighting game, without kicking...

Stupidly downloaded this for ?4. I got served in about 3 minutes by the first fighter...

Did anyone persevere with this in the end?

^I've been tempted by that, too.

Is it, like, really, really ****...and is it kind of 20fpsy like that Don King game was? Or is it kinda fun???
