I picked up the 360 version earlier and have had a quick dabble in multiplayer so let me parachute some impressions into the AA gun emplacement of your mind.

I haven't touched single player yet so I can only tell you about multiplayer.

If you've played the demo it is exactly the same but with other people calling you a faggot. That happened as soon as I joined a match. Angry Americans calling people faggots is mostly what you'll hear in the headset with the occasional British guy doing his best to be pally with them as some loud mouth orders us around taking flags.

There is no apparent visual drop in multiplayer from singleplayer and it all runs along smoothly. I haven't encountered any lag yet and joining a match was quick enough.

The multiplayer isn't as fun as our Lord and Saviour CoD 4 but it will fill the gap nicely.

If any of you guys pick this up, hook me up for some games.

I played one mutiplayer match but it was only a 2 vs 2 team hdeatmatch, not many people have this yet. The American guy who was on my team seemed friendly enough, no screaming and shouting. The team airborne objective matches sound pretty good, Allies drop from the sky, Axis on the ground, the team to capture and hold the most areas win. I can see it being fun online but lets be honest here Call of Duty 4 will be the one for online multiplayer mayhem

Played the first mission of single player and am liking it very much. It is basically the good old Medal of Honor back on form on next gen with some parachuting The first mission is pretty much what you encounter in the demo but slightly longer. Thank God they added the usual FPS control scheme (I think its contol scheme 2 in the options) in the retail copy so now you can press X to reload, B to melee etc. Enemy AI is fairly good for the most part, most of the time enemies will move from cover to cover but sometimes they will just stand in one place taking your bullets. This won't hugely hamper the enjoyment of the game though so all is good I guess. Graphically I would say it pretty much looks like Call of Duty 3 with some better lighting which is a good thing! I particularly like the effect when you are sprinting along, looks very nice indeed I like the whole parachuting idea though as you can land anywhere on the level, ideally you wanna land in the safe zones but if you're feeling brave you can land into the action or if you're feeling sneaky you can land on a rooftop and take some headshots, a nice little addition I think.

I have just played some more games and as usual it is EA server hell.

I had some router troubles earlier and when I started getting kicked from games I thought it was playing up again. I just had a check on the achieve360points.com forums and it seems people are having trouble signing in to EA's **** bag servers.

I've played single player on and off since this morning. It's pretty decent to be honest, it looks nice and it plays nice too, not quite in the league of COD2 but it isn't a million miles away.

I am enjoying the briefing before each mission, its ace, then off you go in the plane and parachute!

Definitely worth a shot if you like WW2 shooters, FPS in general or a bit of both.

One thing to note, its not really run and gun, and i think its difficult, but that might just be me!

single player so far excellent better than COD3, I like the graphics and the first mission was excellent.

couldn't connect to multiplayer servers yesterday at all so cant comment on multiplayer yet.

Thanks for the first impressions, I might pick it up today as I love the CoD games. Is there anywhere I can pick this up on the high street without taking an ass-raping for it?

Got a Blockbuster near you mate? Chop I think, either DiRT, Blue Dragon, Forza 2, Flatout, Hour of Victory, Transformers in and get it for a crisp tenner.

One thing to note, its not really run and gun, and i think its difficult, but that might just be me!

Because the campaign is short I have been playing it on expert and it isn't really all that difficult. I find that if you are getting stuck at a certain point, you aren't doing it right. In the first mission where you have to

get into the town hall and kill the officers

I found that taking it from the front and side with your buddies was getting me killed.

Instead I worked back into a building that over looks the courtyard and after clearing out the pesky Nazis in there, sniped everyone that came out of the hall.

The game works really well by allowing you to pick your route and out flank any enemy position.

This just gets better! it started off good, but some of the level design is outstanding, i'm loving it tbh.

Just a couple of missions to go, its actually got easier for me, had a bit of a problem with mission 2 but i'm flying now. I whole heartedly recommend this game, its absoloutely brilliant.
