The thing is it doesn't tell you, you can do those things with magic in the game. I found out by accident in my many hours with it. :/

Yeah that's really bizzare, they inform you of new combos but not magic. Took me ages to realise you could do a jump Y magic attack.

Has the update to fix online play come out yet?

The one with the fleas? I'm at level 50 i think, i haven't played it for awhile due to the addictive nature of spore. Will get back on it as soon as i can.

Damn, looks like overlooking magic was a big mistake! Aside from all the things you guys mention on here i was playing anew last night with my housemate and he put all the points into the red guys magic and he levelled a lot faster than me due to the vast amount of damage he was doing! I'll probably leave agility now as it's over half full. How easy is it to max all stats?

You mean Medusa? I blocked and countered if i remember correctly. One of her snakes will attack now and again, so block that and counter. I probably mixed in some magic while i was at it too.

I've been playing this again today, god i love it. I think its probably my fav scrolling fighter, which was streets of rage 2. Once i pick the pad up, i loose hours on this. I've finally found all the animals in the game now, just need to find a few of the swords, most of them i have to pick them up from enemies, but those are rare drops. Hopefully i will pick those up in multiplayer matches when they have fixed it.

I've spent all my hours on the single player, i can't fathom how many i will once multiplayer is fixed. I haven't played it once on multiplayer yet, everytime i try it never finds a game.

Almost maxed my Strength and Agility stats but now I only get one bar per level up! I Imagine this is par for the course?

This is what I keep thinking. I am really enjoying it on my tod, but it will be like getting a new game all over again if they can fix the online issues.

Yar - I think after lvl 20 or 25 you only get one bar per lvl till you max out.

Zero was right about Magic, put some on that mate - the magic jump is essential (and not just for fighting )

I wish i could hook my 360 to some sort of capture device. I've been doing some all sorts of crazy ass combos. :/

How often does the blacksmith update the weapons. Is it a case of when you fight an enemy with a new weapon, if you go back to the blacksmith it will be there?

If you pick up a new weapon anytime in the game it will go in the frog instantly. It doesn't matter if you complete the level or not, but you have to exit to the map or die in order for the game to save it. You will know if you've picked up a new weapon when you get prompted at the bottom of the screen by the blacksmith.
