If you upload some pictures to your account on the net you can get some serious lifelike recreations of your face, mines susposed to be pretty much spot on apart from a badly joined mark on the side of my face. If you use a xbox live camera then you end up grey like shoved in a mortuary and left to freeze for a few hours grey! I did front of mine uploaded but side of live camera (as it kept failing for side) and it seems to keep the colour from the front.

Id urge anyone whos played these before to shove your difficulty up though to hard from balanced. You dont loose put preview or extra max swing (you can switch that off anyway) like on all pro but it makes the opposition harder and the draw and fade etc.. Its easy to do just go to options and alter it with no penalty (I did it then decided to start a new character anyway not to cheat). Funnily enough after I did it and did my first challenge again I got an albatross or in tiger speak a double eagle

really enjoying this, nice relaxing game.

playing on 360 and still hate the character creator, I now look like some bloke straight off the boat from eastern europe on his first day at work in the local car wash. Duno why this feels so borked, previous EA games I've managed to get myself pretty well done with no effort.

aside from that its all very nice.

I loved TW04. Hated 07, couldn't stand the way it played when it moved to 360. Haven't played since then. Is this going to re-ignite The Love?

So played this eventually last night. Only managed one round. Put on advanced swing and settings to the hardest and then started a round. And realised I couldn't zoom in to the target marker to see where I was aiming at or anything and thought this can't be right. Went back and checked the options and realised it was because of the game difficulty. So messed about a bit and made a custom setting with what I wanted. Only really wanted to be able to use the zoom in feature to see where your aiming and everything else is on hardest I think.

So started a new round and it all worked fine that time. Although trying to fade/draw the ball is ridiculously hard. Just not possible. If I drop down to the non advanced swing setting is that all I'll lose or is there more options that change that make it easier as I don't want that. Only want to be able to fade/draw when I want to which is impossible with Advanced! I'm hoping 2010's iteration will fix this with the Motion Plus system in place?

Take it this is the Wii version m8? Dunno for sure but 360 you buy different sets of clubs what give greater atttributes for more power/spin and draw/fade but with the downside of a worse sweet spot, you then go into club tuner and can tweak it to make it even more prounounced or on flip side decrease it for a higher % sweet spot.

I'll have a look at that then, I seen there was the club tuner thing but didn't have time to mess about with that. Maybe I can make the draw/fade easier to do then using that as at the moment you need to dislocate your wrist in order to pull it off and half the time it doesn't even work. I dunno why they are still using the old tech and haven't upgraded to Motion Plus for the Wii while claiming the game provides 1:1 swing!

I'll keep playing though, I was gonna get it for 360 for the online play really but I can still play this online with my mate and just use our 360 headsets to talk at the same time.

this game is getting on my nerves now, and its nothing to do witht he golf, which is actually ok.

mentioned before how the manual face creation is rubbish so today I'm trying the clever version, so i take 2 nice pics of me, stick them up on the EA servers, load them into the game and leave it for 20mins whilst it auto creates a player for you. Now I'm white, shaven headed with stubble what does the bloody thing create for me ? a handsome looking black chap with an afro. garbage.

then I try to put some better lit pics on the EA site which go on fine, the game can see them but fails to load them with an error every time.

piece of annoying ****e, I only want a golfer who looks vaguely like me, I'd be dead happy to take a boxer in from FIght Night who I got pretty close.
