Thought i would post some quick impressions.
I have only had the chance to play online, so all the following impressions are based on this section only.
First of all you have to register an account to the Wii system to play online, but it only requires a username. Once through that stage you can choose to play with friends or everybody. In friends you are given a lobby and you can set up rooms and such. If you choose to play with everybody, you can either play worldwide or just your region (PAL (Europe) for me).
From then on you are given little control.
Everybody who is playing votes for what mode and arena they want and it is chosen at random from the selections.
You can't even set the board rules its standard 2 minute super revenge setup.
The game suffers a bit of slowdown during some of the more hectic arenas but it does not impact the gameplay at all. However my main gripe is the connection can be very flakey. I have played Smash brothers and Mario Kart online for hours without any boots. Yet this one seams to just like to randomly boot, 4 times in an hour was a bit much, lucky every time this happened it was between a game.
Then we have the totally weird scoring system. Winning the game can result in you coming last, this has happened to me a number of times and i am yet to figure out why. I suspect the game has already been hit by people using cheat devices
where is the fun in that?
Though i maybe wrong and they may just have some fruity way of scoring.
Each game is 2 rounds and the biggest score at the end of the 2 rounds wins.
The game features all the boards Bomberman fans will expect and a few new ones. However only 2 ever seam to be selected (Zombie which i loathe) and the regular board.
The game also features many modes including Time and King of the Hill. I have only played the standard and the Time modes. The Time mode is quite fun. You each have your own countdown clock when it hits 0 your out. It ticks down every time you take a hit but goes up everytime you hit somebody else. Its the only mode other than the original that people play.
So there you have it my quite vague impressions.
As i said in the title its 1000 points, if you have a set of mates who you want to play online or offline i would say its worth it, sadly though i don't think the random online experience is strong enough. One thing though, they have a fun for 2 mins mini game for you to play while your waiting for the people in the game to finish before it lets you join.
