I’ve just been playing this for an hour or so and thoroughly enjoying it.
In essence it’s Duke Nukem 3D all over again so it comes down to how well it’s been ported, and it’s been done expertly. You can play the game exactly how hardware at the time ran it with no mucking around with the original code. There is a smoothing option, which completely ruins all the art however this can be switched off along with the motion blurring. The game runs in 4:3 as it was intended and the controller works perfectly, with all options mapable to other buttons.
What really completes the port is the inclusion of the expansion pack and all the online and Co-Op options that is expected with a next generation release. They really could not of done anything else to make it feel more value for money. It's still a brilliant, brilliant game.
Anyone else playing it?
