My copy arrived today and i have mixed opinions.

I do think the control system is not 100% accurate but that said it is better than Samba and Helix. For the life of me i just can't seam to get the cool when i am doing the moves correctly and in time.

The presentation is what was expected cute and colourfull. I even think the sound is of a good quality and the song list from what i have seen is of a good standard.

The game trys to give you some help with a tutorial but i found i failed the easy moves time and time again but got the harder ones no problem. Again i am yet to decide if this is my fault or the games. At the moment i think its both and will been keen to improve so i can advance.

Unlike Samba i feel like given some time with the game i would get better and it would not be random luck during the harder stages, but skill that sees me through.

The best tip i can give you is watch the cheerleaders movements & try to mirror theirs. The game is pretty much programmed for you to copy their hand moves Theres a steep lerning curve, when i first started i constantly failed every song but as i played the **** out of it i got slowly better & got a less misses.

I have one routine down pretty much perfect but without all the fruity wiggling "perfect day" & i rarely get a single miss & thats on hard mode.

Still theres some songs i seem to still fail & a few are one or 2 star songs i always seem to go too fast but im slowly learning. Although "We love candy" is still way out of my reach to clearing it.

Are you playing on CRT or HD? If HD, is there any problem with video lag? Unless the game has delay options built in, I find it hard to play these sort of things on my new TV.

I am playing on a non HD LCD TV no problems of that sort here. Not had much of a chance to play it anymore to add to my impressions above.

This game has an option to adjust the timing for people who have HD tv's

That looks hilarious; I'd love to get totally trashed and play it.

Managed to do two songs, can't begin to get a combo anywhere above the 20s, always mess it up somehow boo, so close to filling up the megaphone as well most of the time just one colour out...

Is there any cheat to unlock all the songs? Just wanna play don't like unlocking songs

(What's more annoying is the two songs I've done have been 4* and 2* difficulty).

Picked the PAL version up on release last week. The track listing looks the same as the US version, as does the box!
Whilst the game is really difficult (for me at least), I think the controls do work well. When you go wrong you can see why, some people will probably blame the controls but its usually because you haven't followed the star at the right time or speed or simply that the game has thrown so much at you that you can't keep up. The only problems I've had is picking out some of the blue or red trace lines from the colourful backgrounds in time to hit them right
It's certainly worth persevering with if you're having trouble, and worth a punt at £15. I'm sure if the characters were ouendan style instead of cheerleaders then it would have been given a lot more praise.

Shush! Don't ever let them hear you say that! Ouendan was NOT a cheerleading game, it was a... squad-based music and movement game

This game still rocks, although I've only managed Perfect Day as a 1* star, managed most of the 3*/4* songs, but the slower songs really don't get me !

Walking on Sunshine just 0wns !

Still my favourite game on the Wii (after Resident Evil 4)

Damn right and it was awesome! And you were helping people and ultimately saving the world! Not being a 13 year old girl trying to get in with the popular girls by cheerleading and stuffing your bra
