Really split on this. Generally a fan of J-RPGs over western ones, and compared to the last western one I gave any time (WoW) it certainly doesn't have the same level of polish.

It's buggy, the voice acting annoys me, the controls are unresponsive, there's too much emphasis on mini-games, the 'realistic interactions' are laughable, and the co-op doesn't even let two people use their own characters.

Yet I've sat here and played it all day.

I don't think WoW makes a good comparison to this. Doesn't help that fact that WoW is an MMO. If that is your only western rpg to compare it to, you should give The Witcher, Oblivion, Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate 2 a try instead. If you can't be away from turn based battles give the original Fallouts a whirl. Fallout 3, out this week.

Does anyone else get an Ocarina of Time vibe from this? The dog is navi, chests are everywhere with rewards, you can dig stuff up.. mini games such as archery etc.

I love this game, especially in co-op spent ages trying to get my mate hitched to more than 2 women and have it away, bigamists and step brothers FTW!

My mate had a game breaking bug at the place where you need renown before you can fight 2 guys. His character was stuck in a walk animation and he couldn't do anything. I came into his world after a plea for help and I asked him to turn the safety off and I killed the NPC which he has to talk to. this cure the bug, it seemed the npc was mid sentance and wouldn't finish, hence the walk animation from my mates character.

It's as easy as killing an NPC

Yeah Spatial, you need to get her to follow you to it and then examine the house to change it to your marital home.

Just make sure you don't get into any scrapes and get her killed, like with my first wifey. My second wifey got executed by me after she wanted to divorce me. It seems the women of Albion don't enjoy a fat, scarred, naked Will user.

Yeah, there's stacks of very funny item descriptions - some of the tips while loading are hilarious too (the overheard quotes from citizens)...

Great game... agree with the flaws - I don't quite know how the levels piece together, and I so want to a) zoom the maps in, and b) know which way is North when in the game.

The item menus are incredibly annoying too, but yeah - I can look past those when I dim the lights, turn up the volume and just engulf myself in the Fable World... beautiful
