Music gets a massive thumbs up from me - some brilliant tracks in this. I loved DOS wasn't that hot on POR but this one goes back to the DOS style really enjoying this at the moment my favourite glyph so far is the lightning I'm using this to shock enemies left right and center. Graphics are generally really nicely drawn. Yes that crab boss was a bit of a pain not that he's that hard but the fight is so long you have to last..

Yeh..it took me a few attempts with the crab..but it isn't that hard.

I like the difficulty of the game so far..the intensity is raised just enough to make you think..i've not found anything frustratingly difficult.

I'm currently stuck! I'm sure I'll work it out. No faqs on for me. hehe.

Anyone know what the glyph that

        makes the cube

is for? That's no major spoiler by the way, just a description of what one of the glyphs does and it's one that doesn't seem particularly special. Thought I'd hide it to be sure.

Loving this. Am 56% and grinding, got all item ang glyph drops. The small levels make it easier to remember where stuff is. Plus, Shanoa + jewellry lady = lesbo-geddon. Y'all feel me?

              I got the

              bad ending

last night. I presume I have to

find the two villagers I am missing as thats what it went to after beating Albus then returning to barlowe.

              Time for some

              searching

which wont be a problem as i am really loving this.

                Well! The

last two villagers i was missing

took me all of 15 minutes to find!! Would of taken longer to

                read a faq

Time to find out what is in store!

I now have 100% on all the maps before the
                  apart from the Monastery.

                  I'm well into the
and I must say *Wow* it is the most gorgeous Castlevania
                  I've even seen (so-far anyway)

I keep dying though..its partly because I'm tired and partly due to the fact that isn't a cakewalk either.

Gotta say, this is without a doubt the pick of the bunch on the DS for me.

IMO i only thought the so called 'half ass' exploration type games was POR.

CoTM was fab, HoD was not..but you can see the effort that was put into it. AoS is an amazing game.

Dos was fantastic. POR was 'half-assed' and OoE is a fantastic return to form.

Don't want it to end...to me, that's when I know I'm playing something good.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned and I am quite impressed with are the voice samples...especially villagers and bosses..they're really well done, some are quite amusing too.

You really should spoiler-mark those locations.

How is the game's length? PoR and DoS both felt a bit too brief for me. I'd be happy if they approach the SotN length.

Hard to say, especially as I haven't finished it and I honestly can't remember how long DoS was. It feels far meatier than PoR but a lot of the length comes from grinding while you look for certain item drops (in my opinion, 'grinding' is not a term that can ever be used positively). There's plenty to do in some of the later locations though and, because much of it is actually more challenging than the last few CV games, it feels more rewarding.

But in terms of plain ol' length? I don't know. Remember SotN effectively cheated in doubling its play area and that's not something that could really be repeated without feeling a bit cheap. So any comparison might not be fair.

I didn't think that was a spoiler, but i will tag it.

It's just that I thought it was

the last area in the game

and I wasn't even sure myself if that area would be in the game until I got there myself.

                              As it turns out,

I seem to have found more places to go, which was pretty surprising.

This game has definitely grown on me massively since my first impressions (I really thought at that point that it was going to be rubbish). There's loads here and it just gets better and better as it goes on.

Finished this earlier. Absolutely magnificent. As a whole it is superb...the gameplay, the music, the graphics, just fantastic.

                                Some of the boss fights

                                in the castle

are pretty tricky...but i beat them all without using

                                large potions e.t.c

                                Return to form IMO...
