sorry if in wrong section, ive got the ltd version today, it says on back it comes with code for ltd gold lancer? i opened the box i can only see a card thats for 5 free old maps? am i missing somthing ?

Yeah the flashback map card, scratch off the silver surface on the back (ala scratch card) to reveal 3 codes, the map pack, the gold gun, and a free hour on gold live!

I'm playing this off the hard drive and have just started in Training Grounds and this still suffers the graphical layers pop up like the first game.

I hate FPS but liked the first Gears a lot.

This does feel so epic and solid, everything is cinematic and the sound thru 5:1 is brilliant

I got this today and am getting used to things on Training Grounds (everything you do here counts towards Achievements, including winning the match for the Party Like It's 1999 Achievement, but the Gold Lancer doesn't get equipped here).

The sound effects are much better than Gears as is the 5.1 audio, these are two things I felt let down by in the first one.

The graphics are better.

In general it feels like they've achieved what they wanted and taken a great game and improved on it.

I've been playing a bit of the single player campaign. Loving it so far. More of the same, but bigger, even more cinematic. I've had to force myself to take a break, though, because it eats up hours like Rosie O'Donnell eats donuts.

. Marcus just seems to not want to get behind cover when I want him to too, sometimes he just rolls which pretty much gets me killed as I am out in

. The cover system is slightly more refined but still has its annoyances and sections like these show them up a little. Still loving the game overall though, just need to get past this section!

Got this yesterday from my local street-date ignorer.

I'm enjoying it but, I dunno, it's just not quite got the magic for me yet. It could be that I'm simply overloaded with games at the mo...Or maybe not, I'm just not feeling the epicness everyone's raving about. I liked the first for pitting a small cast of characters against a seemingly huge army. It kind of reminds me of what they did with The Matrix in that they've made it too epic.

Did enjoy the level on the derricks though, and to be fair I'm only about an hour in, it could get way better.
