Anyone buy this then? or try the demo?
Bought it without even trying the demo, just knew this was going to be special.
Have literally only played 5 mins of it, seriously one scene was enough to seal it for me.
At the start when you crash land with The Maw you see some bad guys, zooms into the maws eye then cuts back to bad guys face and then

the crazy Kill Bill noise/tune came on

as it goes back and forth they stare each other out, I seriously LOL'd.
It looks very nice and colourful too.
Think this is gonna be fun, really didnt want The Maw to eat those small cute wee things though, will play more tomorrow.

I tried the demo and it seems Ok - quite charming.

I need to get some more pre-paid points in but when I do I'll be shelling out for the full thing.

Bought it and finished it today, fun little game. I dont think its actually possible to fail it or die

Be interested in what Twisted Pixel come up with next, The Maw looked absolutely stunning for a XBLA game imo.

Why?, just wonbering becuase thats the first reaction like that ive heard to this, Its been getting good press and these guys on here seem to like it.

In the videos it looks like it has all the polish of a full priced game and the gameplay looks fun too. I'll be trying it out sooner or later. Just wondering why you didnt like it?

I played the demo through and it had all the polish of a turd.

Slow, unexciting gameplay designed for five year olds. Just a very "meh" game and I'm not in the habit of forgiving just because a game is a cheap download. You don't pick up a crap game from a shops bargain bin when you know better.

I bought it and thinks it a great little game for ?7 very short but full of polish for a XBLA title.

Just tried the trial and hated this. First of all the style repulsed me. I found the design of the two main characters lacking, and they were downright annoying with their noises.

The gameplay is basic at best and for 800 points I'd really be looking for more.

Well ah think this is a charming wee game, you never die and just a nice adventure to play through. Still need to go back for a 100&#37; completion, missed a couple of things on few levels.
Loved the progression of The Maw character and his eating habits, was always fun to try a new ability.

When he grows so much he eats planet earth, as the credits roll he just doesnt stop growing.

800 Points well spent.
You also get 2 unlockable gamerpictures through playing and a Premium Theme when you finish it, more games should do this.

I'm enjoying this, it really reminds me of something from days gone by (Spacestation Silicon Valley?) with it's bright visuals and plinky plonk music.
Feeding the maw is fun, I wish the animation for eating was a bit quicker, I get fed up of it.
It's super impressive how high quality the game is considering it clocks in at under 150 meg!

This is undiluted loveliness. It's very easy and a little short but if you don't have a huge grin on your face when you're playing it you are dead and withered on the inside, sirrah.
