I've been quite enjoying this game. Best played in small bursts I find. I think the idea of firing and moving with the stylus compared to d-pad movement is actually pretty good and makes it more interesting. As the manual (which is pretty amusing) states, its about evade, shoot, collect. In that order. Yes, I normally just fire off a load of missiles at once, but sometimes you have to think and aim and use the special weapons etc to hit your target. And I even enjoy the bonus games after each level. Each theme provides differences to these too.

This game was released in the UK yesterday, I was intrested when I saw the box art and heard of it a while back, then played the Demo from the Wii DS Download section and really liked it so picked it up, It's £19.99 in the UK so I thought it was a good price too..

More opinions on the gameplay to follow..

Well i got this at the weekend and have been playing all weekend when not on PS3 , maybe The_Mole just didnt like it or something but i think its great plus challengingits colourful i think the devs must love Pradius cause theres loads of wacky enemies pirate penguins sharks ducks that play ice hockey list go on and on ,kamakura is a ghost theme world and levels were if you dont hit stuff the walls start closing in making it harder to avoid bullets and leafs so that takes care of auto fire like you gotta be accurate, just 1 bad thing why no lenticular art for the UK box ??? ( BOO HISS )
        HAPPY GAMING !!!

I finished this game earlier on, the final boss is amazing. Everyone needs to play at least that far.

Unlocked Mission Mode which is fun. Have to do challenges like beating levels in a certain amount of time, or completing levels without missing a shot (very tough).

Any complaints about the game being too easy are definitely false, too. It's no Ikaruga, but the later levels are really difficult and one hit being all it takes to kill you adds a heap of challenge.

The bonus levels at the end of each level unlock "relax mode" if you beat them all, a nice mode when you can choose your setting and just set off fireworks with no pressure at all. Not the most relaxing thing to try and unlock, though, some of those bonus levels are hard, and each time you fail you need to re-complete the level before trying again!
