    Football Manager Live

Couldn't find a thread for this so thought i'd start one. I haven't got this yet as i am not sure i want to pay ?75 a year for it, or ?20odd for 3 months.
Can anyone who has it post a few first impressions and general thoughts on the gameplay mechanics and what they think of it so far as i love the FM series.

Firstly, Ive not played any previous FM games.

I've joined a Casual weekdal FA where I can play matches against other human managers in my league between 12pm and 12am. I can send a challenge request to any of my opposing managers that are currently online and the get stuck into formation and tactics for the big game. At first, quite a bit of tactical options are locked away. In mmo fashion, I have to apply skills to learn to open the game, the way i want to play. Skills are like perks in say CoD4, but instead there are **** loads and certain skills unlock routes to others. Once a skill has been applied to me to learn, depending on which skill it is, I must wait for a period of time to pass to unlock/learn it. Learn time ranges from 20mins at the beginning, up to silly amounts (like days) for some of the higher level skills. Any time you waste not learning a skill will earn you double point learn time, just like in some mmorpg when users want to catch up after being away for a while.

So far, I'm absolutely loving it. The match engine, even though theyre just litte circles moving about, move about so realistically.

I'd write more, but i'm typing from my phone.. where hand... is nearly... dead.

Is it worth the cash so far? Yes, but it is a bit pricey innit?

Eurogamer review, incase you missed it.

        Loads of people playing mate

Got a 4 month free trial with my copy and finally decided to install it today. Created Ezee United FC (stadium is call Ryder Park) and got myself a team full of loads of foreign players, lol! I am in the Le Tissier gameworld and part of the EFFA (football association). Would be up for a friendlies with people who have this.....*looks at hoolak*

Seems like it really really deep, so much to do and see. There is even a main chat room aswell where you can chat to other managers about FML related stuff. Look forward to getting lost in this over the next few weeks.

How did you get the 4 month free trial? Did you have to buy the game physically from a store rather than download online

You get the 4 month trial if you buy the game from a high street store or if you buy it from an online retailer. The cheapest I have seen it is £17.99 on the Play.com website.

I'm not too sure, don't really have much info on that. Could be possibly done through a search maybe?

My official season hasn't started yet so I have entered a friendly league. Played 3 matches tonight, won one 5-0 and drew the other two (0-0 and 2-2). The 2-2 game was a nail biter! I was 2-1 down and it was deep into stoppage time (93rd minute) when my striker (Gomez) headed in an equaliser! The other dude was gutted as he typed "nooooooooooooo" and I typed "YESSSS!"

                This is quality, very addictive!

My season started 2 days ago. It's getting tough. I need to look for some more players for cover. Also, my key players are pretty old It is ace. I can't believe how good these little tiddley-winks move around the pitch
