Finally cracked my copy open tonight & played it for the first time.
I'm impressed it's freaking gorgeous & plays like a dream.
Unfortunatley my Hori EX2 does indeed suck.
The gate is horrible on it & pulling off supers is a real hit & miss affair I really need to get my GT-Y Restrictor fitted now.
Although I cant imagine how hard my brother found it using a standard pad when playing...hope Madcatz hurry up with more stock of the Fightpads so I can get at least a reasonable game against him without feeling bad about having an advantage.
Anyway all in I'm glad I finally got started on it...cant believe I waited so long.

I'm a lousy level player so don't take my word as gospel, I'd say the Madcatz pad is far more suited to pulling off moves than the standard xbox one, plus having 6 face buttons feels more comfortable. Pad is quite big and sits nice in the hand, the thumpad is quite raised and has a lot of movement in it with some small clicky feedback.
I would say though that its not a vast leap worth paying silly ebay prices, even £35 seems a bit steep.
I'm not a SF obsessive though so don't know anything about frame data etc, all I can say is I get far more dragon punches first time than I did before.

have to say the fight pads are really good after a bit of play though there starting to loose that slightt stiffness the d-pad had the begining but it is still good
anyway back to the game done most of the hard challenges bar el fuerto and c viper....i cannot do some of her challenges at all (i mean standing lk to croucking lp into high jump into a super move.....i cannot do that all even accidenetly)
oh any news on the dlc championship mode ?

Faced a 2,500+ BP Zangief player yesterday, he was pretty decent but I knew what to do there with Sagat, poke poke poke away and get in get out and frustrate him to death. Avoid those blimming green hands and spinning piledrivers like the plague. Pretty satisfying to win there.Lie with passion and be forever damned...
