Did the 4-2 boss easy in the end, I realised that

if you use the theifs ring (which i had never even used up until this point) he cant hear you at all and never charges at you.

I also did the 4-3 boss afterwards and then like an idiot used his soul. Can you make it into anything valuable? or am I in luck?

Morion Blade (useless) or Anti-Magic field (rather awesome for magic based black phantom invasions). Not a huge deal for single player game though so no worries mr moxon.

All the souls are used to make things with. That one can be used in two different ways. Too bad!

(Morion blade is far from useless by the way! Combine it with the clever rats ring for ranged sniping and you can do huuuuuge damage, really cuts down on arrow usage when killing dragons etc. One hit kills on geckos too)

Is anyone else finding that there's less of a community spirit on this the US servers? Hardly see any other ghosts or messages. Might end up grabbng the Asian version again and playing that instead!

Oh, I could never be arsed with getting my health to < 30&#37; nonsense! I concede it could be useful in that situation though. I was all about magic to the kris knife was always in my off hand.

EDIT: Thinking about it, I should try equipping the Morion in my off hand instead of the Kris and see how that works (with Clever Rat's and magical Sharpness and at <30%) and see how that works. Should be pretty awesome I guess.

I was one-shotting the gargoyles in Latria on NG+ using the Morion, which I couldn't even do with my kris knife +5/monk collar. It takes a bold person to use this tactic in situations where you aren't completely safe though. The gargoyles I was, as they give clear attack warnings - the faceworms... not on your nelly! Too much chance of getting pounced on from behind.

I managed to get through 1-3 earlier, the boss was increadabley easy, the knight guy who I rescued earlier came and distracted him while I killed him in about 10 seconds (I take it he dosent help if you havent freed him?), someone else had also joined my game but he just seemed to stand around and watch which annoyed me, but was easy all the same.

I then started 1-4, was at the begining bit where their are 3 computer controled black phantoms, and then someone else invaded my game at the same time as i was fighting them!!... needless to say i died quickly.

Penetrator is a complete joke on the first play if you have Biorr helping (and yeah you need to free him)... but if you don't have Biorr, or you're on NG+ or higher then it's a completely different story.

It can turn into one of the hardest fights if you try to do it solo - if he, erm, penetrates you, it's instant death (high vitality helps I guess). It's been mentioned before but the bosses on the default difficulty aren't a patch on the higher difficulty versions.

edit - I've just read that they are going to do a repeat of the Halloween world tendency event over Christmas, but go the other way. So all worlds will go to pure white if you are playing online I'd imagine.

Yeah, I did Penetrator on my own. Probably the toughest battle. Pillars being destroyed everywhere! I found I really had to play that as an action game. Reflexes were important as I recall. Took me a few goes too.

I cant belive it!!

I accidently selected new game instead of load, I thought "no problem, it will just save it in another slot", so I quit the game when it started and went back to load my game, low and behold its deleted my file!!!!!! After 35 bleeding hours! I only had the 5th world left to complete!

To rub salt in my wounds I then started another new game and it saved it in a different place!!!! what the hell? to say I'm a little pissed off is an understatment.

That sounds a little bit odd, did you go to the character creation screen again? When I did a new character it gave me a choice of where to save it, it wasn't automatic.

Yeah, I have multiple characters no problem.

Tried again just now, saved games deffinitley gone.. I guess I have to start all over again, heh.

No, it just started a new game and for some reason saved over my old one, it dosnet even ask me which file I want to save too when i start a new game, but I imagine its suppose to save to a new one.

Incidently i deleted the game it copied over my own earlier and noticed that when you delete saved games it dosent even ask you to confirm that you are deleting it! it just deletes it when you press square! Its Lucky I didnt do that by accident already actualy when loading my game, I'm often catching the wrong buttons, how hard is it to include a confirmation screen?
