I'm not one to normally start a First Play thread as I'm pretty useless at putting my thoughts about a game into words, without just saying things like 'it's great & I love it'. Also, I'm not sure how many people here will play this game, but here goes...
I actually bought my first Starfy game years ago on import from Play Asia, but as is usual, I played it for a few minutes, then shelved it, so I enter this game with little idea about what to expect. (Although I did read the IGN review beforehand) I've now played through the first two worlds quite quickly & absolutely loved every second of it. It's very easy so far (which hasn't bothered me) & I can see myself wanting to hunt out every little secret & challenge that the game has to offer. One thing I've noticed right away is that I'm grinning from ear to ear when I play it. Which is a good thing in my book.
Here's the IGN review for a lot more depth about the game. They were very positive about the game, with the closing comments...
For those looking for another impressive core Nintendo franchise to obsess about for the next few dozen years, Starfy is your man. Combining some of the best elements from games like Kirby, Donkey Kong Country, Little Nemo, and Mario himself, TOSE’s latest offering is a DS gem, and brings about more content and diversity than almost any other sidescroller on the system.
